  • Ok I was at the USC game no more then 25,000 I 'm not right on the number but close nice day alot of top notch recruits at the game.. I want to see how many we have next week !!!

    Me too .... I wish I could be there for that game , 95,000 would be awsome Bama is the only other place with the love for there team like Ohio State !!! They said maybe today 34,000 at USC I said maybe 25,000 it was between that .... I know 95,000 would blok those recruits away !!! At halftime on the jumbo tron they played a clip of the top teams putting out talent #5 scum #4 thee Ohio State #3ND #2 Miami #1 Them USC ... So next week when alot of the same recruits see 95,000 fans its going to be a shock ...

  • Bama only had 79k this year, lowest they've had in awhile. We'll have 90k plus if the weather is nice. If not, who knows.

    I think we already topped Bama in 2009 with attendance of 95,722.

    That's what I said. Someone's fudging some numbers somewhere because of the embarrassment. We had more kids at our indoor practice on Saturday than they had at their live-broadcast spring game.

    You're using weather as an excuse why you can't touch Bama's attendance, yet your original post failed to mention that weather was a MAJOR factor in Michigan's unusually low attendance this year. So are you gonna give UM that excuse too or does OSU have a trademark on it? ;) In fact, UM's game was nearly cancellled due to the storms, weather was forecased to be so bad folks didn't know for sure there would be a game when they showed up. Heck, under those conditions I was surprised 25K showed. I think last year was 50K, weather wasn't great but no threat of cancellation.

    I do agree 100% that weather plays a real big part in attendance at these games, obviously, and that the southern schools have a massive advantage over Big Ten schools. For the same reason, stadiums located in bigger cities also have an inherent advantage of numbers over stadiums in smaller cities, when it comes to drawing crowds to off-season informal events like a spring game.

    I will not speak for THEnutbuster, but my take on it is this. The difference is that EVEN in bad weather we get a nice turnout, as compared to you. The point that was made is that it is amusing that scUM, who beats their chest about attendance and is coming off their most productive season in years, still could not generate the excitement. We opened up, on the same day mind you, our PRACTICE to staff and students, and had to move indoors because of the weather, and STILL had a more than respectful number in attendance. Nobody has stated weather doesnt play a role. However, when one's fanbase becomes as......I'll say confident to be nice.......as yours has and to then lay a turd, well that is funny.

    Also, all we heard is how DickRod was the reason you lost to us those years, but now you act like you beat a solid tOSU team, when in reality it was the biggest let down we have had in many many many years. "So are you gonna give" tOSU "that excuse too or does" scUM "have a trademark on it?" Turn abouts fair play.
