He's guilty. It's just a question of on how many counts. While all the evidence has been circumstantial and based almost exclusively on testimony, it's going to be hard for the jury to believe there was any kind of conspiracy or witch hunt or grudge or petty character assassination. A PSU coach, janitors, young men who were fans, accusations of abuse that took place over many years...why would they drag PSU (and Paterno) through the mud unless it was the only way to get to Sandusky? I think he's going to prison.

It'll be interesting to see if it goes to civil court. PSU and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania could find themselves paying millions of dollars in damages. Commonwealth, my ass. More like common debt when taxpayers and students get stuck with the bill. I can see it now--pre-game canned good drives not for the homeless but to help offset the school's legal fees

If he isn't found guilty we need to sit down ad take a looong hard look at our judicial system.

What is hard to believe is that he was able to keep this $hit from his wife of over 40 years, and that she stayed with him. I mean come on.... adultry...cheating...maybe...but child abuse? I wonder if she was part of covering it up? We all do things we are not proud of, but there are some really sick people in this world!

The fact that it's taking them this long to reach a verdict is pathetic. I mean really...you gotta think about this?

It could also mean that there was a lot of testimony and evidence to review. I'd rather a jury that took its time then just go off of pure emotion. They have to consider each charge, they can't just lump all of them under one verdict. Some of the charges/victims might be more clear cut than others. I'd be shocked if anything other than guilty comes out if this.
