So now who are the front runners for Coach Meyer's Staff?

  • If we don't get stoops it will be a big loss. Heacock is, and always has been, over rated. Stoops is the best available DC by far. And we will have a hard time sniping a top DC from another top program with our current situation.

  • It wasn't an original thought but I (and others) said a long time ago that a lot of coaches were going to get rich because of Ohio State. Not just the guy we hired but even guys we don't hire. It started with D'Antonio. MSU saw us possibly coming for him, gave him a raise, made him a "Spartan for life" the week after he beat us. But there are other HCs with clauses in their contracts that they be paid compensurate with their top peers, not to mention assistants we might covet that other HCs want to keep. Meyer will hire an A+ staff but we shouldn't be surprised if most of them aren't announced until after the bowls. For one thing, we need to keep our current staff motivated so they keep coaching for the bowl instead of job hunting; for another, some of the guys we will hire have teams they need to get ready to play in bowls. It's very bad form for assistants to interview for jobs at other schools if they have a bowl to prepare for. Meyer knows that; that doesn't mean he's not talking to guys, just not announcing anything. Meanwhile, his Priority One is to focus on recruiting so he can sign up to 10 more guys and it sounds like he's doing a pretty good job of getting us on top kids' radars.

Heard he is lookin at Bollman to stay and run the offense, with Jim Tressel to advise him on "Tressel ball". Bauserman has been given one more year of elligibility. Now hows that for a Buckeye nighmare..ha ha

If that were the case, I would send Joe Bauserman a check, and then self report it to the infractions committee to get him suspended.

It's going to be extremely difficult for Urban to get a good OC....who in their right mind would want to follow that offensive genius Bollman?

lmao-funny; the rumor is that Harmon from Iowa St has taken the OC job...fact or rumor?

  • QB coach only. Studs hasn't signed his contract yet...still think we get him for O-Line and OC.

This would be two great hires...I watched one of his Iowa St. interviews and he appears to be a very intense yet level headed guy...any word on how he recruits as this seems to be a VERY important to Urban
