Terron Sanders responds to Urban Sporting News article

  • For the 5 years I was under Coach Meyer at the University of Florida, I went through a lot of ‘growing pains’ and had to learn QUITE a lot. There were good times and bad times, both with Coach Meyer & my teammates, but in hindsight….I can tell you that I was the determining factor in that equation. At one point in my career, I was told that at that moment I would not have my scholarship renewed because I was indulging in “college life” a little too much. That was my wakeup call and I could not thank Coach Meyer enough for that moment. He saw something better in me and by pushing me even harder, he brought it out.

  • Coach Meyer never treated a man on his team a certain way unless he was deserving of it. Some kids come into the program with a sense of entitlement because they were highly-rankied recruits out of high school and weren’t ready for the cruel reality of ‘college.’ Just like normal students, some students thrive with the freedom college brings, and some fail miserably.

    Sports is like the real world in every aspect. You either love the elite or hate them and want to shoot them down. But when something good happens in that field of work or that program- you have to take notice and appreciate what good has come out of it.

    We all were down on Urban when he was at Florida- why, because he was at another school and winning. This is the reason why so many people hate Boise St. Is it truely the ugly blue turf, or because they are a smaller school who doesn't play anyone. No it's because they win. That's life.

    Now Urban is a Buckeye and most of us cherish this man. He has brought something that we haven't felt in a long time. Yes we were winning, but ugly. I think Urban will bring back exciting football to Ohio.

    Does anyone think this will be run in the Sporting News or the Orlando paper? This kid is a hero for standing up for the truth !! There were even some doubters on our boards after the TSN article.

    How can we, (as Buckeye Nation) write to this kid and thank him for being so forthright (he must have been very angry by what he read, as unlike the article itself, it didn't take him long to respond!) and responding so quickly to this obvious smear campaign by another butt-hurt that found maybe one or two disgruntled (and others he claims but never revealed) players and then attempted to assisanate Urbans character.(and OSU for hiring such a criminal scum bag to replace our last cheating coach, it is our character you know)

    This kid had the balls to come out and tell the truth and I for one, he just proved to me everything i have witnessed and read about Urban Meyer since he arrived here at Ohio State.

    I am not a computer guru and am not on Facebook/Twitter, so how can we as a group write this kid and thank him for his honesty and having a huge set of dingos and writing and defending his college coach for who he really is.

    You are exactly correct about the hero part but you MUST remember to be hero in this country anymore you MUST have at least some sort of prison record or at least dodged one.
    It's the Americanway from top to bottom even in our Government.

I know that a thread started by Sofla is not read much, but the article is interesting. Goes with what I said, its only a matter of time before those idiots who write these articles cause more harm then good. Will Muskrat is only gonna tolerate this buthurt mess for so long. Its only embarrassing their whole fanbase. At least the logical ones.

    Dude the silence from UF, scUM and PSU will be classic once Urb Meyer wins a title in S&G.
