Even though most of us have never met, this is a family. Family takes care of their own and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Stay strong, you will need to be the rock for her during these difficult times.

I myself is a 2 time misdiagnosed cancer survivor of rectal colon and lung. I was out of control with my feelings towards the Drs that made the mistakes and I felt cheated out of a fuller life.

The advice that I would pass on to you and especially to your wife is you must drop the anger and blame and put every ounce of energy into deciding to fight this situation, with the help and power of God.

I made a decision to fight and never give up but I also lived by the words in this prayer, though both the good and bad of the treatments...it gave me piece of mind.

"God" grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change and the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."

I started saying and living those words in the prayer in January 2001, when I was given very little hope to survive. it's a powerful prayer to use and I hope it will give your wife and yourself some comfort and guidance to find serenity and fight using the wisdom you will gain.
