still trying to figure out how upset this should make me, but it's being reported that paterno was putting the final touches on a sweet retirement package the same month he was getting ready to continue the cover up and lie to the grand jury about what he knew about sandusky. he appears to be all about him and all about wins and it just keeps getting worse. at this point, getting ready to testify, he still did not realize how much wrong he had done.....or didn't care. he was more concerned about making sure he was gonna get some more cash to retire instead of FINALLY doing the right thing and telling the truth.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Veteran Penn State football coach Joe Paterno began talks that resulted in a sweetened retirement contract in the same month that he testified before a grand jury in the Jerry Sandusky sex-abuse case, according to a published report.

Paterno was lower than whale shit and he always was, the only thing he ever cared about was himself. It just took many years before people found out about it. Personally I quit buying into his BS 30 years ago. He was more worried about beating Bowdens record than he was about young boys being molested and his family is just as bad for trying to make believe he knew nothing about it. Feel sorry????? NOT IN THE LEAST!

I understand the grief PSU fans are going through, but I found this post so comical. Is this guy for real? Sorry, but I put in my thoughts on the matter (in caps)...lol.
Hi Guys,
All of us are shaken from the past months. Here are some thoughts on how we can move forward in a positive way. A roadmap for PSU and other organizations to move forward. Any other thoughts?
In my opinion we need to do the following:
- Use our experience to develop the blueprint on how organizations should handle the issue of child molestation in the future. REALLY?????
- Raise consciousness of the prevalence of child sexual abuse in the US. (20-25%) of all children in this country are victims before their 16th birthday. PSU HAS ALREADY DONE THAT!
- Remind people that PSU is not alone in making this grave error. WHAT???? C'MON MAN!
- PARTNER w/ the Big 10 & NCAA to make child abuse the top philanthropic issue in college sports biggest platforms. NOBODY IS GOING TO PARTNER WITH PSU ON THIS SUBJECT!!!
- PennState re-directs every dollar from the 2012 football season to bolstering it's college of Health & Human Dev't. And donate any additional dollars to worthy organizations meant to fight this issue. DONATE THE DOLLARS BACK TO THE UNIVERSITY? *PUFF, PUFF, PASS* IS PSU GETS TO DECIDE WHO IS WORTHY Oh MY!!
- Finally, PSU should agree to participate & lead sessions, testimony, etc with leaders in education, gov't, and religious organisations to talk about what went wrong & why. UH HUM.....PSU IS GOING TO BE TOLD WHAT WENT WRONG NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
