After you have the plugin installed, go to the youtube link Cav gave, you start playing the vid, and then go into the youtube settings on the video to select the quality you are playing it in (generally you want the highest possible) and then as it's playing, right next to the little "download helper" icon (should bet to the left of your address bar) there is a little down arrow -- just click that and it should list the different versions of the video -- the highest quality versions like 720P and 1080P will likely be in .mp4 format while the lower quality (480p and 240p) will be in .flv format, so you want the .mp4.
Also you may need to download VLC media player in order to play the videos and possibly even K-Lite Mega Codec Pack (both apps are free). I'm so used to having these installed that I forget which vids require additional non-standard codecs to play.
