  • I wonder if Fox is doubting their decision to partner up with UFC? This event sucked! Davis wasn't even in Sugar's league. Sonnen looked average against the most over-rated fighter in the world. And I don't blame Weidman for gassing, but how could Maia have looked that lethargic? Maia should be cut IMO. Bad luck with Munoz getting hurt, but maybe they should plan on airing a few more fights per event. If they want excitement, they need to get the Diaz brothers on.

  • UFC has picked some terrible cards to broadcast on FOX. If you're trying to get the casual viewer to become a fan then you can NOT put guys with the likes of Demian Maia or Ivan Salaverry on these cards. Those type of guys have the worst stand up and they are incredibly boring to watch. I'm a hardcore UFC fan from the start and i even hate watch mat-layers like that so i can just imagine someone who's not a fan. Maia should've been cut years ago because he's no threat to win a title whatsoever. Phil Davis' standup was god awful. He'll never beat Jon Jones with the hands he has. The Fertittas and Dana White better shape up and actually put some good fights on cards next time around or they'll lose ratings fast

    Bisping definately beat Sonnen and you could tell from both fighters reactions at the last bell, and this is coming from someone who can't stand Bisping. I wasn't mad at all at the robbery because when Bisping fought Hamill in England they made that the biggest robbery in UFC history because Bisping lost that fight without a doubt. It's sweet justice

  • I also thought Bisbing won. but a couple rounds could have went either way. MMA Junkie scored the bout 29-28 in favor of Sonnen. Im not upset at all either because I cant stand Bisbing. I think Sonnen was lucky Munoz got hurt.

    The card televised Fox card definitely sucked. Mostly because of the injury. I thought the Davis - Sugar matchup was a good really good match up. I just think once Sugar got him in the 1st crusafix it totally broke Davis' confidence. He wasnt even close to the same fighter the rest of the fight after that.

    as a casual sports fan that turned it on last night i wasn't impressed .. i have watched other UFC events at friends houses and they were all much better than that nonsense ..

    For me I saw the very 1st PPV event live and Ive only missed about 10 PPVs live ever. If youve never seen the 1st one you should rent it. This old man, his name was like Gerard Gordo or something like that, made it to the finals after breaking his hand and his foot in the 1st fight of the night.

    I've been watching since the days of Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Don Frye, Kimo...back when it looked like a "everything goes" street fight. I actually miss the days of Baroni, Tank Abbott, young steroided out Vitor Belfort, Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler, and Cabbage, in other words when guys were only looking to knock someone's head off but get gassed a few minutes in the fight lol. There were some great knockouts then

  • I disagree that Bitchsping won. Despite Rogan's blubbering about him throughout. The first round was close, but I thought Chael won it with the takedown. The 2nd I gave to the British bitch, even though all he really did was hold Chael against the fence. The 3rd was obviously Sonnen. Sonnen didn't look good though. Maybe he really was hurt in the first round like he said. With Chael, you're not sure how much to believe. I realize he's part pro wrestler when promoting himself, but he comes off as a clown.

    I just HATE bitchsping. This guy has been incredidly protected by the UFC in their attempt to grow MMA in England. Everytime he steps in competition, he's revealed as mediocre. British MMA looks like they'll never develop a great fighter. Probably because amateur wrestling isn't popular there, so they have no ground basis.

    America was rooting for that matchup to happen because we all knew Hendo's cocked right hand was gonna clean Bisping's clock. Bisping padded his record with a bunch of tomato cans early on because he was the UK posterboy but he's the definition of average and not elite
