scUM or not, this is another stupid, antiquated rule. I don't really think anything will come of it, but how many times did scUM fans bring up "a rule is a rule" to us over kids selling their own personal property? How about the repeat offender issue? If they are not still on probation, then they just came off of it.

Dumb rule. But Roy knew Mike. But just a FYI...some buckeye players have done the same thing very recently. We all know both programs are on probation....
I do find it to be very funny that some rookie reporter from Ohio decided to point this twitter exchange out without looking into the fact that osu players are also doing it.

I also think its a stupid rule, but then again, I also believe its a stupid rule that player's lose all control over their personal belongings. As stated above, all we heard from every direction was that it doesn't matter how stupid the rule is, a rule is a rule. So I would say it definitely justifies action, which is now repeat offender, and should trigger a full investigation to see if the university has lost all control of these twitter accounts.

Not only can you still see Travis Howard's tweets to Burrows and Woodard... putting Howard in the same camp as UM's players on this violation... but I think it's silly for anyone to compare Tresselgate with a simple "congrats!" tweet. Why is it so hard for buckeye fans to understand that the outrage wasn't about amateur athletes illegally selling their stuff for profit, it was about the head coach with the saintly public image who repeatedly lied to the NCAA in an attempt to cover-up the fact that he knowingly played inelligible players? After recently authoring a book about "winning in God's way"? Do you get it yet? The longer you try to trivialize it by saying "oh, it was just some kids selling their own stuff", the longer you're gonna feel unduly victimized, rather than relishing the fact (as you should) that you got away with some MAJOR infractions with just a slap on the wrist.

UM players violate a (secondary) rule?
