I'm not a pm guy, it's a message board who gives a crap? It's the constant negativity that makes me personally think that you could be TZ. You're entitled to your opinions, it just sucks that when you do talk football 95% are negative. Tell me this Sofla...What are your expectations for this year? The future? Do you like any of the 2013 recruits? Do you like this staff? Instead of a interview just give me something positive.

That may be the most intelligent thing you've ever written on this site. This should be a growing pains year of sorts, at least on offense. Brax & Co. will have their moments of brilliance tempered by sheer and utterly maddening ineptitude as they work out the kinks in Meyer's spread-option. I think Hoke was smart by not trying to force Velcro to become a pro style QB and it'll be interesting to see if Urban does the same thing by leaning on our running game, which was 27th in the FBS last year, to set up the pass. But we have to be at least three wins better with this staff and a more experienced and deeper and faster albeit younger defense. I think our DL will be close to impregnable, which means our OLBs have to step up to cover the flanks. If it all works out the way it's supposed to, Curtis Grant should lead the team in tackles. Platooning DTs and DEs to keep the big boys fresh going into the 4th quarter will help. I expect our DBs to provide good run support because that was their forte last year, and I expect either Howard or Doran Grant, whichever one doesn't start at CB, to play nickelback, which will give us a better coverage package on 3rd and long. I'm not sure if we'll score a lot unless our vertical passing game improves--and I'm not talking about Miller throwing a spiral as much as our WRs just getting open--but I expect us not to get scored on that much. Even as schizophrenic and dysfunctional as we were last year, we were still 27th out of 120 FBS teams in scoring defense.
I'm curious: if we were to go 9-3, what are the three teams you can see us losing to?

If we lose three, they'll be:
1) Michigan State: Their defense will be stout, LeVeon Bell could lead the B1G in rushing, Maxwell played well in mop up duty last year, and we play at their place. Reasons they won't beat us: they need WRs to step up more than we do, having lost their Top 4 from last year. Inexperienced QB with inexperienced WRs against a defense like ours and it'll be tough. DeAnthony Arnett, who transferred from Tennessee as is immediately eligible, will help. They play Boise State and ND in games 1 and 3 and could conceivably be 2-2 when we come to town.
2) PSU: O'Brien seems to being a good job moving the program forward, Silas Redd ran for 1,200 yards last year and should also contend for B1G rushing title, their defensive front seven isn't far behind ours in terms of potential, and we play at their place, which will kickoff at 6 and will be a white out. Reasons they won't beat us: Ineffective QB play and a weak secondary.
3) Wisconsin: Monte Ball WILL lead the B1G in rushing, their seven blocks of cheese OL will be as big and tough as ever, and Danny O'Brien's immediate eligibility after transferring from Maryland means they'll have a seasoned signal caller to replace last year's 90-day wonder, Abbrederis and Pederson are all-B1G quality receivers, their defense will be tough, especially Borland (143 tackles) and Taylor (150), and we play at their place. Reasons they won't: if O'Brien struggles, their next best QB is a true freshman, their front four can't put pressure on/contain Braxton while our front seven contains Ball.
I don't see us losing to scUM. That's not being a homer. I just thing that we'll be better playing them at home that the dysfuntional mess that lost by 6 in the Big Outhouse.
