Like it or not the Steelers are one of the best (if not the best) orginization in pro football. Other than Rooney being a little senile you don't have to be a Steeler fan to see this. I am not a pro football fan by any means but if Mike Adams wants to keep making the big bucks and stay in Pittsburgh he better ask Holmes how it's done because bongs won't cut it in the burg.

NO!!! I love it in fact.
I suppose you're a long suffering Browns or Bengals fan which is why you hate this move.
Columbus is neutral in this war because technically we're nearly equally as distant from Pittsuburgh as we are northeastern Ohio and southern Ohio where both NFL franchises dwell.
Furthermore and most importantly, we're winners and so are the Steelers as a franchise.
In other words we're not on par with either the Clowns or Bungals who're both perennial LOSERS!
BTW when was the last time either the Bungals or Clowns organizations drafted a Buckeye? For the Browns '09 with Brian Robiskie but prior to that, it had been a while (Simon Frasier). And we all know the only reason they drafted him is because of his father Terry, a one-time assistant and interim HC there plus the fact that he's from the area. And the Bungals? Someone help me recall. Because outside of acquiring Krenzel from the Bears, Nugent from the Jets or Clements from the '9ers, perhaps not since they took Archie Griffin. That's just how pathetic both Ohio pro football franchises have been in drafting the great talent that has come through Columbus over the past 30 years.
Owner Mike Brown, who claims he's a proud Buckeye (and pretty much said so after Carson Palmer's "I hate the Buckeyes" comment nearly four years ago), continues drafting Trojans which goes back to the days of Anthony Munoz. They, IMHO have intentionally sought not to draft Buckeye players for fear that they'd be associated with the Buckeyes and Ohio in general. We all know Cincinnati hates that they're not Louisville's twin city. That being said I'll for the first time in quite some time give credit in how they've drafted thus far. The Browns arguably won the First Round and the Bengals have done well in Rounds Two and Three. And I do hope they get it together. Both are long overdue for some success but the reason in large part why they've been laughable failures is because of poor draft choices in past years. Decisions that have among many other things included bypassing Buckeyes in favor of Trojans, Gators, Beavers and every other school inbetween.
What this comes down to is that the Steelers appreciate Buckeye talent just as the Bungals appreciate Trojans and the Clowns traditionally, Hurricanes. So the way I see it, I'm with the franchise that appreciates Buckeye talent.
I cite the Steelers, Bears, Jets among the franchises that are Buckeye friendly in terms of the draft. In past years the Cowboys, Vikings and Bills. The Colt, Raiders and Eagles have come along as well in more recent years. But my advice to you is that if you're tired of the Steelers continuing to draft Buckeyes then tell Bill Bellichick to start drafting Buckeyes. Prior to his arrival in Boston 13 years ago, this was the franchise that frequently drafted Buckeyes. But ever since, he's done nothing but draft SEC after SEC player. In part because of his ties to Nick Saban and Urban Meyer while at UF. But now that Meyer's here and so too Mike Vrabel, let's see if his drafting tendencies will begin to balance themselves out over the course of the next year and beyond.
Sure it's all about picking the players that are the best or ideal fits for your franchise but can we say these decisions are being made as often as we'd like to believe? Because that's what's at work with both Ohio football franchises when it comes to denying Buckeyes entry. Just look at Jacksonville who makes no bones about the fact that they prefer drafting Gators and other SEC East talent. Same to a lesser extent with Jerry Jones who frequently goes after Razorbacks, Longhorns and Sooners in the draft.

Wishes the Steelers would stop drafting Buckeyes...
