Youre dream Super Bowl halftime show

  • The biggest problem with these shows is they keep bringing in tired acts who can't sing anymore.

    I would suggest Switchfoot.

  • I've never understood the NFL's thinking about the halftime show. By and large, most fans are males, but it seems they're always pandering to the pop music crowd. And even then they often go for acts that young people can't relate to. My 13 year old had heard of Madonna, but he and his friends didn't know her music at all.

Why don't they give us real fans what we want? There are plenty of big hard rock/metal acts that would bring a large audience. AC/DC, Metallica, and Iron Maiden are all plenty big enough to draw a large audience. Maiden is also huge oversees where the league desperately wants more people watching. And I guarantee you AC/DC or Maiden wouldn't embarras the league or network the way Janet or MIA did. The closest we've ever had to hard rock was a washed-up Aerosmith that sold their souls to pop rock years ago.

Of course I would most prefer to see Victoria's Secret models playing naked twister most of all.

  • I could go for some Pearl Jam. As for the WORST possible choice, I'd have to go with Barenaked Ladies. Imagine the fallout when a stadium full of drunk, male football fans realize that "Barenaked Ladies" are a bunch of fat guys from Canada.

  • Tupac would have put on a great show I got to see him once an he was outstanding

  • If Goodell could get Layne Staley and Kurt Cobain resurrected I would LOVE to see Nirvana and Alice in Chains too.

I know the Who got ripped on here pretty good but I thought they did fine - but that might have been nostalgia speaking.

Frankly, I wish there was no halftime show. Just let the self-important talking heads discuss the first half and make their worthless projections for the second half and get the teams back out on the field in 10 minutes like a regular NFL halftime. That way we have just enough time to hit the facilities and recharge our mugs and get on with it. Of course what is not spoken is that the halftime show is mostly for the ladies watching. I say who gives a ......

If I want to see a halftime show, I'll go to a Buckeye football game.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought.

  • Only whatever would fit into the amount of time it takes for a normal halftime. Save big bucks.... I've never watched more than 2 or 3 minutes of a Super Bowl halftime... boring...

  • LED ZEPPELIN ! enough said.
