When's Harden gonna learn to stop bulldozing in the middle getting a charge and turning the ball over? And if i'm Scott Brooks i'm giving the ball to Durant everytime and telling him to shoot. Guys like Harden, Sefolosha, and Fisher aren't hitting shots at all

Really dude? First of all let me start off by saying I could give two shits about the NBA or Lebron. The dude is a baller no doubt but the "King" will never be in the same breath as MJ. He couldn't win one in Cleveland because he needs to have 2 other super stars around him to win apparently and wasn't good enough to bring them to Cleveland. MJ didn't win one without Pippin but he brought him to Chicago didn't go follow him around. I wouldn't have had a problem with LBJ doing that if he would have had the courtesy to tell Cleveland when the season was done I am going to be exploring my options and Cleveland isn't one of them. Don't give me the line of how he made is decision the morning of his announcement either. He had that choice made at the Olympics in '08 this is what he wanted to do, so just tell them in advance like any other employee would do.

We should have seen it coming though. Anyone who has tattooed " Chosen One" on his back or self glosses himself the King would be likely to make a "Decision" like that. Not to mention comments like " I spoil the fans with my play" after pretty much shutting down in the Boston series. Oh talking in the third person on a consistent bases doesn't sound like a classless jerk either. Then on the night of "The Decision" using the phrase " I am going to take my talents to South Beach". Gee, stuck on ourselves much? Oh then after he loses the finals last year lobs a grenade talking about how we all have to go back to our poor lives and he still gets to be Lebron. (I understand it wasn't that but that was pretty much what he said.) There are all kinds of other stories coming from restaurant workers in Cleveland (and other cities) tell how the "generous" King leaves dollar tips on a couple hundred dollar tabs.

Sadly as good of an athlete as Lebron is he will be remember by most more by his antics off the court than on. I don't think 3, 4 ,5, 6 rings are going to make people forget about that. Also his "apology" wasn't really an apology. An apology consists of telling people what you did was wrong not for the way it happened. You are basically saying I apologize because I look bad when you say it like he did.

First of all that comment was just being obnoxious back because comments were made acting like he won a title because of refs, which is ridiculous and stupid.

Secondly, Don't act like he rode a coat-tail, he was the MVP of the season, and Finals averaging 30 and 10. He didn't win in Cleveland because they didn't have a good enough team, he wasn't a choker, quitter, or any other accusation that people want to put on him because they're mad he left. Good luck naming a team that was successful this year that didn't have role players as good as Bosh and Wade. Bosh missed half the playoffs, and Wade was banged up, and not his real self throughout. Wanting to be part of a good TEAM actually shows a lack of selfishness in my opinion.

Finally, if I want to find a role model i'll go to church. I'm shocked that people who hate him in Cleveland would be leaking out stories about what a bad character he was though, lol. It seems funny that they had no problem with him when he was winning MVP's there, and desperately wanted him back.

I am sorry but you completely ignored much of my posts. I am not looking for a role model either. BTW those stories didn't leak after he left they were out way way before that. They would be talked about constantly on the radios and people were excusing him for it. I also didn't say he rode the coat tails but tell me what other team in the NBA has 3 Big stars such as Wade, Bosh, and James? Also the MVP of the season was Durant not Lebron. The MVP of the finals I will give to James which he would probably rather have anyways. Also where did I say selfish? I said classless you can not be selfish but still be classless which is the category lebron falls into.

I felt the coat-tail was implied by referring to the other star players, which I also addressed saying Bosh was out most of the playoffs, and Wade wasn't himself, anyone could see that, not that it matters because it takes a team to win anyway. Before this big three I can think of Garnett, Pierce, and Ray Allen, the original big 3... Who also have Rondo now, even though they're old now. OKC had Durant, Westbrook, Harden. Lakers had Shaq and Kobe, etc. I wouldn't consider Bosh to be a superstar, personally.

Idk about the off the court stuff, but I do know people have been tearing down his character for years and he's been a lot better character than a lot of professional athletes that they build up like Michael Vick or Plaxico Burress. He hasn't been in trouble with the law like Kobe Bryant with alleged rapes. His major transgression is having a show to announce his decision. I don't really feel like he's been classless from what i've seen, I think Cleveland fans and Dan Gilbert came off much more classless than him, but at any rate, his personality/character isn't why I like him, i'm just saying.

When you start giving out MVP's i'm sure everyone will take that into consideration, until then LeBron is the season MVP lol. He is better than Durant at every facet of the game than scoring.

So, let me get this straight, you believe it is completely ok to drag an employer along, one that has treated you like royalty (no pun intended) not give them any inclination that you are not returning until MAYBE a few minutes before you announce it to the world? Good to know, I am sure other employers would agree and be sure to give you a job. That is very classy and tactful. Dan Gilbert said some dumb stuff and he is eating crow but I doubt you thought he was being classless when he paying LeBron millions and kissing his ass. Do you think a phone call was out of order from LeBron to let them know what he intended to do? He screwed the team so they didn't make any other off-season moves because they couldn't because they were waiting on him. As for the fans, what the hell do you expect? They pretty much worshiped the guy only to have him do them the way he did. Yeah it sounds like he was pretty classy to me. Again I said he could do what he wanted he was a free agent but he knew what he was going to do so just tell them and let them try to collect themselves. You are right he hasn't done anything in terms of getting in trouble with the law, so you are saying that unless you break the law or allegedly break the law then your character is fine?

The coat-tail comment wasn't meant to be implied but I see where you could get that. You can't deny he went and joined Wade's team. And When did the heat start actually playing better? When Wade played better and Bosh was back in the starting lineup. They were on the ropes against a very old beat up Celtics team that took them to 7 who they should have been able to take in 5. That brings me to another point that the east was weak this year as well. Matter of fact the whole NBA is down as a whole. Kobe is old, the Thunder are young, Howard was out for the Magic the Celtics are over the hill. If the heat didn't win it this year they may never have won it. Because now wade is getting old and I don't think Lebron and Bosh are as threatening without him. Also I am glad you don't feel Bosh is a superstar I think the Heat must feel different as he got to get up on the stage and dance with Wade and James. He was also on the Olympic team so he must be pretty good.

I think the thing that bothered me most about your post that I have read today (before our discussion) and previous from the past is the feeling you don't really get what Lebron did was wrong. It wasn't wrong to leave the the Cavs it was wrong how he left the cavs. I know there would have been people upset if he left that way or not but we will never know that because he chose to leave the way he did. Just because how he left wasn't illegal doesn't mean it wasn't wrong and since when is having values and doing something (that is a hard decision no doubt) the right way a bad thing? Also why is it wrong for people to criticize people for that? Especially people who are in the spotlight and like it or not are who the children look up to as role models? I get you are fan of LeBron's game and he is good no doubt but at the same time his character leaves much to be desired. Also I want to say, I get being a fan of a person more than a team. I am always fans of former Buckeyes and always watch them to hope they do well because I really don't care for the NFL all that much but having said that when one of them does something that is classless or shows lack of class I no longer feel I want to cheer for them. I recognize his talent but I will never cheer for him again because of his actions if you want that is fine but don't talk down to people for not liking him because of decisions that he himself made.

I really don't know about LeBron's character, I'm not saying hes a good guy or a bad guy, I honestly couldn't care less. My point is I think there are a lot worse people who take a lot less heat than he has for decisions that aren't comparable in terms of seriousness.
I'm not trying to talk down to people who don't like Lebron, I have absolutely no issue with that, and even can understand where Cleveland fans are coming from when they feel that way. My issue is saying things like he isn't good, he quit, the refs handed it to them, just stupidity in my opinion.
Again, not saying Bosh isn't a really good player, but he missed a lot of the playoffs, and he isn't on a level with LeBron and a healthy D-Wade in my opinion, who wasn't healthy throughout the playoffs.

I also think "the way he left" thing is played out. I can get the frustration with that, but at the same time I think it's a lot like when women complain about a guy didn't even break up with them face to face, they're really just upset about the situation and use that as something else to gripe about. Cleveland would've been more than welcome to pursue other players instead of LeBron if they wanted to, they knew that risk was involved when they were waiting on him, and they really should've pursued other options if they felt he "quit" like Dan Gilbert said he did after he decided to go to Miami.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just get tired of hearing the constant ripping of LeBron and mainly stupid comments, (not referring to yours) I'm talking about people who say he's a choker, a quitter, refs cheated, etc. It's all just sour grapes.

  • This whole short season was a joke. The fix was in when the league denied the Chris Paul to Lakers trade. Lebron has every right to go to whatever team he chooses to go to. He picked the Heat because D Wade can finish and he knew he could win with him. Nothing wrong with that. However don't sit there an act like the refs didn't play a major role in this championship. It will always be tainted. Hence the reason Nike and the NBA has bombarded social media sites with propaganda posters showing the big 3 saying "earned not given" lol. Dude may have his ring but he didn't earn anything, especially not respect.

So there is 1 missed call in game and all of a sudden the refs won it for him? Miami dominated the series only lost game 1 because they came off a 7 game series and the thunder were more rested. Did the refs help Miller knock down 7 3's? Did the refs help Chalmers go off when Durant guarded him? Did the refs help battier shoot close to 70% from 3 in the series? Lebron was the only player to score 650 points, 200 rebounds and 100 assists ever in the postseason yet Wade closed it? You are just a biased moronic hater that got upset because Lebron left DURING FREE AGENCY let it go man your making a fool of yourself

They didn't dominate the series they dominated last night, there is a difference. Every game before this was very close. And I can't speak for everyone else that doesn't care for LeBron but it's not that he left during free agency (an overly simplistic view IMO) but it's how he left. If you cant see how he left as a problem then you are as diluded as the people you call haters.

How is the way he left any different then someone demanding a trade like Kobe or Dwight? (I don't see a difference thats why I dont hold anything against him and still support him as an Ohio guy and my favorite athlete.) Yet no one has given them anywhere near the flack they give Lebron. Kobe demanded to be traded not once but twice. He never gave the hornets a chance so he was traded for Divac and when Kobe was getting bounced in the first round Jerry West loaned them Pau Gasol and what do ya know Kobe gets 2 more rings.

  • Haha. Wow. Maybe some addaral is needed. Look you just talked about the last game with exception to Battier. One call. Really? The entire series Bron and Bosh initiated contacted yet OKC would get called for the foul. The refs weren't even close to fair. Im not a Cleveland fan never have been never will be. Im a basketball fan so I can see it objectively. Honestly I predicted the Heat to win it all this year. Im just stating obvious facts. The fix was in. Accept it. Its not the first time in NBA history and won't be the last. And you want some props ok. The Heat dominated the Thunder in that last game and could have won a fair 7 game series against them. That just didn't happen though

I quite frankly don't care about those 2 because they don't and didn't play for a team that I associate myself with. I don't remember Kobe or Dwight claiming they got the troubles of their city's sports teams had the way LeBron did when he said he got the The Drive, The Fumble, The Shot. He said he understood that and would be delivering a championship. Maybe you are talking about around the country I really don't know but I am talking about here in Ohio and if you agree with how he handled his business and had one of the biggest look at me moments with "The Decision" than I don't know what to tell you. I don't recall watching Kobe or Dwight having and hour long ESPN special on their wanting traded.
