Depends on how comfortable the coaching staff is with the secondary..Blitzing leaves cornerbacks and safeties on "an island," meaning they must be perfect in man-to-man pass coverage. However the zone blitz eliminates this problem by allowing the defense to remain in zone pass coverage..In either way the DBs must be very disciplined in their pass coverage..Meyer emphasis on recruiting the DL (defensive ends) is the best way to apply pressure on the QB IMO...A effective blitz package gives the opposing offense something to think about though.
