  • He's just on admin leave...hasn't been dismissed and I would be really surprised if he is. He'll get suspended without pay for a couple non conf games

    true, but he's hardly irreplacable.

I like the comment about him having to go into kid's homes and face the parents, speaking of morality, yada, yada
Not to mention his track record w/teams his been a part of. The guy's not the best example of LOYALTY.

  • Nothing will happen to him, he's in the SEC and he's winning.

On the other hand, he is a piece of sh%t.

Granted, while Arkansas is the state that continually looked the other way with Bill Clinton's sexual shenanigans as governor, in light of the Sandusky scandal and what happened with Tressel (and with Taver and Haynes on the staff there, that's something they're likely to be thinking about), I'll bet the university and state of Arkansas launch a full-blown internal investigation. Because this is not just about infidelity. That may just be the tip of the iceberg. Was he already sleeping with her when she was hired? Did he hired her over hiring or promoting better qualified applicants? Did someone lose their job so she could have it? Were university/public funds used for hotel rooms or dinners or gifts or other expenses to perpetuate their affair? Was he ever confronted about it and denied it? Did she accompany him on recruiting trips? And he's admitted he had at least one other "inappropriate" relationship, which makes him a serial cheater, which means the depth of his character really needs to be examined. They can't just arbitrarily sweep this under the rug.

There are plenty of precedents. In May 1999, rumor leaked out on the internet that Alabama Coach Mike DuBose had been accused of having an affair with his secretary. DuBose flatly denied the charges, but three months later reached an out-of-court settlement that paid over $300,000 out of his own pocket, removed the final two years of his contract (leaving him without a job after the upcoming 1999 season unless either an extension was granted or a new contract was reached), and gave the administration the right to fire him at any time they desired. He was dismissed after the 2000 season when an Alabama team that was #3 in the preseason polls finished 3-8. And then there's Mike Price's date with Destiny, the exotic dancer he denied having sex with but cost him his job anyway, which was before he had ever coached a game for the Tide.

Ya I remember some of their fans coming over here to talk smack as well. They wont' have to worry about a smear campaign on ESPiN since they're not Ohio State, but at least they'll get a taste.

cheating on your spouse or applauding the behavier demonstrates a lack of character and class. Bobbi Petrino is bringing his trailor trash background to Arkansas

I have no sympathy for a man who not only doesnt do his job as a husband and father, but is the chief orchestrator of its demise for no better reason than to satisfy his own narcisstic ego.

Petrino and those like him are worth less than scum scraped off the bottom of my shoe

That's going to the extreme in a lot of your questions but all should be asked and investigated.
