A Hooley is what you leave in the toilet after a night of drinking Tequila and eating Fish tacos where the fish wasn't properly cooked. The gassy, runny, and slightly bloody discharge from your ass that you leave in the toilet that reeks of decayed fish and partially digested alcohol?
That mess is what we call a "Hooley"

I don't know that what Stanley said is not necessarily not true. The one thing--and quite possibly the only thing--that proved to make it untrue, and thus renders his prediction hilarious in hindsight, is that we hired Urban Meyer. Look what the man's done--it's been nothing short of miraculous.
Had we not hired him, who would have been our coach? Who would have taken the helm and righted our sinking ship? Who would have had the "rock star" aura to revive our reeling program so quickly and dramatically? Anyone remember the list of suspects whose names were being bandied about? Luke Fickell, Tim Beckman, Mark D'Antonio, Bo Pelini. Or maybe some unknown NFL lifer like Bill O'Brien or a has-been retread like Tommy Bowden or John L. Smith? How many of them would have been secure enough to keep Fickell and smart enough to retain Vrabel, Drayton and Taver Johnson?
II am absolutely convinced that without Urban, we would have been lucky to have a Top 15 recruiting class and maybe only a handful of 2013 commits now, including Taco Charlton and a couple other kids Urban didn't offer; we'd still have all the bad apples that have since left the program, and maybe even lost a couple seniors who decided to bail instead of miss out on a bowl their last season. Urban Meyer almost single-handedly--and by that, I am crediting him for hiring a great staff as well, who certainly deserve their fair share of credit--diverted a 4-5 year slide.
Our reputation on and off the field took a hit to the gut and we were staggered but Urban regained our credibility virtually overnight and I earnestly believe he's the only guy who could've pulled it off.

the common man and the torg, a show after hooleys on 97.1 the fan, or at least what was hooleys show, is not a homer show. they criticize everyone fairly, truthfully, and with a lot of humor. the attacks aren't personal though, unlike hooley, they actually use facts and not emotion to back up their statements. in fact they lobbied against urban meyer to be hired as the next head coach because of his issues with the media in gainesville. however, they still have a job. why? they're not a hooley. is it hard not to be a homer in cbus? i don't know. it depends on who you are i guess.
my guys
