  • I did post the link but here you go.

"I haven't decided yet," said Anzalone. "It will be Ohio State, Penn State, or Notre Dame. It's going to be whichever school fits best as far as my parents work schedule and things like that."

Its not the whole article but thats what Anzalone was quoted saying.

  • parents work schedule? everyone plays on Sat. hope it's not what's convenient for them to see him play! I would think Penn St. would lead there? I do think Buckeyes have a good shot with him though.

  • In my opinion Penn St leads. I havent heard him talk to much about the academics side of things which would favor Notre Dame obvioulsy. But if we miss out on this kid i dont think it hurts us at all. We already got some really good young talent in line already.

They just posted an article on the 247 main page where he states he may have top schools in mind, but hasnt narrowed anything down yet officially and is pretty much wide open still? WTH

I believe he was talking about which spring game to attend, they are all on the same day and he has said he may not be able to make it to osu that day like he had planned. I think that it comes down to OSU/PSU, and IMO OSU has had a lead. However he is visiting PSU for the third time. This is an interesting one to watch.

  • My daughter's 17 and hasn't decided what dress to wear to prom next week. One day it's this dress and the next it's another. I just tell her not to remove the tags and keep the receipts so she can return the ones she doesn't wear. In a similar vein, anything a HS boy says about his top 3 college choices is likely to just as tentative. And don't forget that 15-20% verbals will flip by NSD.

That said, there was an 11W interview a month or two ago in which Anzalone said academics will be important. And when he went to Florida last month, he extended a 2-day weekend trip into 3 days.

If he is interested in Med School, I'm not sure why he would favor ND academically. IMHO OSU and PSU both have stronger programs to be around (even as an undergrad) and are associated with better hospitals than The Indiana University School of Medicine—South Bend. I know up here in Boston at least, I see/talk to way more doctors who went to school at OSU, PSU, (and TSUN unfortunately), but maybe that is geographic and not academic. Although I work in the Harvard system and like UFM can usually recruit from all over the country.

  • Not accurate. What Anzalone was saying that he wasn't sure which Spring game he would attend between OSU, PSU or ND. He hasn't really narrowed his list down. And he may still visit more schools. So which spring game he could attend was dependent on his parents schedules evidently. Those 3 schools are not his final 3. They are still in the running though. I believe he is a Penn State lean for a few gazillion reasons. >>>

He's a PA kid. His brother is a junior at Penn Stare. His parents, family and friends could see him play at PSU on a regular basis. He grew up following Penn State. He'll be in Happy Valley tomorrow for a THIRD visit in the last 2 months. He has said his visits to Penn State were great. Loves the coaches, facilities, stadium and on and on. He supposedly had a great time at USC and Kiffin wants him to enroll there early...think in December. He may go to USC. We'll see.

  • I'm not going to say he's not going to PSU, but from what many OSU insiders are saying, PSU is not number one, and neither is OSU. Florida seems to be the leader at this point, but from all of the schools that are showing interest and all of the schools that he is showing interest in, seems like it could go a lot of different ways.

I have heard this a lot as well. However I think the shimmer of UF will wear off a bit as the process goes on. I think he has to visit another time or two to UF for them to grab him, which is possible his family apparently has $$.

I once thought he was an OSU lean but I think PSU has gained ground quickly over the last few weeks, I am just very glad he will visit again. I hope he does for our Spring game as well!

    cheers!

  • Fwiw, every tweet and message I have read says Ohio state is definitely in the mix, if not the leader. I think it comes down to penn state and da bucks, and hopefully urban can pull him away from the home school.

  • Sounds like he is more into tOSU than anyone else. Going to tOSU spring game over others and no plans after spring game.

Actually I would have to say he is an OSU lean....hence he is going to the OSU spring game and he is in love with Urban Meyer
