Another Beast DL Says tOSU is His Leader?

    Thought DE Jordan Sherit was by far the best DL @ ESS Camp today. One of the reasons why - he was excellent with his hands-Ohio State is clear leadertongue

    Jordan Sherit just lit it up at a camp and Craig Haubert is claiming that the Buckeyes are the leader for his services.
    I have not heard this kid's name before on Bucknuts, but as I am getting light headed with the thought of getting another DL can someone tell me what you think about this? shrug

    Man this is unreal! If this kid commits, there could be a riot in C-Bus and mass "Masada" like suicides in Ann Arbor!

  • I'm psyched about all the DL studs wanting to play for OSU but we need more OL that can actually succeed on the field and we need WRs and I really hope we land Vonn Bell at safety(He said on a BleacherReport video interview that Ohio State was his favorite campus and out of the coaches he was asked about it seemed to me like he liked Urban Best) At WR I want two of any of the following; Gibson, Quick, Treadwell, and Allen.. probably forgetting some but all those guys are play makers at WR. I don't want Robert Foster if he has attitude issues.. if he doesn't then he'd be the 1st WR I'd want. This DL is loaded though and Is no longer a concern to me. LB I think we landed a hell of a haul in this past class and with Shazier and Grant ahead of them and Anzalone behind it's no longer a huge priority but no way I'd turn away Jaylon Smith. It'd also be nice to land another star corner. Idk how large this class will end up being but I'm hoping for

    2 More OL (have to be studs.. can't keep recruiting OL to sit the bench)
    2 Wr (we still need playmakers)
    1 Safety (Vonn Bell is who I want)
    1 CB ( there are a lot of Good CBs in this class hope for a 4star or 5 star(none on 247) I wish Artie Burns had interest in us.. not one of the most highly rated but has pretty much matched Teddy Ginn Jr's best 110 Meter High Hurdles times from highscool as a Junior.. talk about speed.

  • with these D-Lineman coming in...I see the Buckeyes playing a new defense...a 7-2-2 (7 interchangeable Defensive Lineman, & yeah only 2 Linebackers & 2 D-Backs....but I don't see the other team's QB doing anything more than being lucky to get the ball from Center)

    I dont think we will play only 2 linebackers bc look at the number of Lbs we signed last year and the number of tweeners we have. I can see a 3-4 and 4-3 hybrid defense

  • Without question we have areas of greater need and priority but if this young man wants to join us I just don't see us turning him down. I do see us at a point right now thought that we only take one more DLman and only if he is a "can't say no" type talent.

  • Not sure what we are recruiting him as. Some schools are recruiting him as an H Back. But I think he was rated the second or 3rd best DE in Florida.

  • He actually has mentioned us. When his scholarship was reported he put out an interview where he said this was the most exciting offer, or something along those lines.

    Forgot who, but I believe there is a former buckeye player on his HS coaching staff.

  • Take him. I know some are concerned about offensive line and wide receivers, but if you can build a nightmarish defense, go ahead and do it. With Cam Burrows, Eli Woodward and possibly Von Bell, Anzalone and all the d linemen, I think it's fair to say Ohio State will be able to shut teams down on defense. All we need is a competent offense, which Urban Meyer, the offensive genius, should be able to give us.

  • The other thing we all forget is that when you get a young man on campus, you may find out he is a better fit in a different position. You may be able to move a few people around and not only benefit the team but help then develop into a better football player.

    Pouncie, was an OG, Meyer moved him to DT because they had no one else and then moved him to Center where he was Drafted in the first round by the Steelers. He also moved Haden from QB to CB and he was a first round pick.

    Meyer is not afraid to explore options for people.

    This kid looks like a absolute beast! I don't know how he got by me. He looks like a animal on film. His motor seems to never stop. Atheletic. 4.70 40. Would love this kid. Wow our D line is going to be something very nasty from now and years to come! Go BUCKS!!!
