This is very, very nice news!
Can't wait for this commitment to be revealed!
East Coast Player Known for Knocking Fools Out One At A Time!
We are very fortunate to have UFM. Wait until we run through that weak ass schedule of ours this year. Elite recruits will be lining up...more than they already are. Poor B1G
That YPC is similar to Keith Byers a few years ago.

this kid torched their opponent in their state title game...he has speed for days & can flat out run guys over or make em miss...another stellar RB in a long long line of them for tOSU
hurd reminds me a lot of ty isaac. identical body type. monster stats to the point of being ridiculous. i think hurd would be the kind of back who would thrive in urban's spread.
Hurd seems like the perfect RB for Meyer's offense. Elite speed, can make people miss, can break tackles. I love that he mostly runs north and south, cutting only enough to make the guy in front of him miss. He doesn't waste time running east and west. He sets up his blockers well also. Wow, I really hope this guy plays for OSU!
When is the scholarship reduction done?
the knock i've heard on hurd is he runs too upright. i think isaac was criticized for having the same style, which is different from that of a traditional 20-30 carries per game running back who needs to put his head down and "get small" to get thru the hole, the classic rammer like hyde. a more upright style works better for a guy who can operate in space. imo, hurd would be a bigger version of jalin marshall--a multi-tool player who can do a lot of different things.
2014 is the last year it is in effect
call me crazy but does this kid remind anyone else of Marcus Allen/w a little eric dickerson mixed in. (for those old enough to remember). He's got the speed, the same body, and the running style. Granted it is only H.S. but I can picture this kid being an absolute monster RB.
Hopefully, he stays the course and chooses the good guys. This kid will give Michigan fits. lol

Bump to the top...this page is spam bombed.
Reason I was asking for the scholarship limit. I know after this coming season the loss of Hyde and Hall will open up two spots. I just see a stable of RB that is deep still with the addition of Hurd that would be nuts for OSU. I know *s do not mean much , example Berry at RB hasn't done much. Just wasn’t sure going after so many RB would be good but with 2 guys gone next season and maybe a transfer. Will open up some room. Hurd looks good. Does remind me a bit of Adrian Peterson.
besides losing hyde and hall, i wouldn't be surprised to see rod smith leave for the nfl after this season. antonio pittman bolted because he knew he was going to see a reduction in playing time and maybe even lose his starting job to beanie. smith may think the same way if it looks like he's not going to start as a senior ahead of dunn or elliott.
I have said it elsewhere on here but if Hall doesn't leave early to draft, I am guessing a transfer from Ball or Dunn
i think we lose Hall to Graduation / end of eligibility after 13'
One thing that bothers me with this talk of possible transfers is that the kids have to keep things in perspective...the depth chart is always fluid - injuries or any other negative situations are part of the game & it is vital to maintain the level of talent for the next guy up...the stable of RBs on this roster is without question top tier talent...any one of the non-starters would be an immediate impact player for 95% of the rest of the country....Bama has proven that it is possible to keep everyone happy too...so...I think it is possible to run the same type of system here...keep a rotation of home run threats which would keep everyone fresh & happier....i reallythink it would be detrimental for any of the current RBs to transfer. just my opinion of course.
Woops yeah I didn't mean Hall I was talking about Smith...
Well watching him play in those highlights his "upright" running style seems allow him to use his vision to find the running lanes and he becomes the most upright when he his out sprinting in front of the defense. Seems like he runs somewhat lower until he clears the hole. Looks like a stud.
UM tells the players/recruits that no one redshirts and the best players play. That philosophy should keep the new talent rolling in to OSU. The players who have the talent will go to the NFL and the others will transfer or be satisfied to be along for the ride. It's really always been that way. OSU is just going to be doing it with a higher talent level than in the past.
Good times ahead! Go Bucks!
Um...I may get downvoted...but Jalen Hurd just committed to Tennessee.
Jalen Hurd @MrHurd18
I have officially committed to play football at The University of Tennessee.
Tell him...."good luck with that!"
Or my favorite........"That's gonna leave a mark!"
No one in their right mind, that has a chance to go to tOSU, should ever......ever......select Tennessee over tOSU. If Hurd made this mistake, I suspect that this is likely the last that he's heard from again!

I would rather have Autry. Keeps the Georgia pipeline running strong. Don't get me wrong though, I really thought we'd land Hurd. Curious as to what the staff thinks about this one.
What the hell is Butch Jones selling?
This is the question I want to know. Anyone else realize they have gotten 4 commits in the last 5 days?! I mean more power to him but there is something in the water in Knoxville.
New coach will always have a big bump in recruiting their first class.
