Guess you haven't watched his film. Meyer is a teriffic judge of talent, and he wanted him. Case closed
Yeah look at all the success all of those 5*s had at Florida without Tebow.
He was a sophomore in high school in 2010, isn't going to put up insane numbers. What are Price's stats again?
It isn't that he DOESN'T start...it's that he DIDN'T start. He will start every game next season.
He was very inconsistent last season and in fact did NOT start every game. His lofty rating is based moreso on potential, not on what he has done thus far. I think he will end up being a very good player, but at this point he isn't "Ohio St-scholarship-worthy." There are better players out there that Ohio St is pinpointing.
Quote on Taco from the board moderator Duane:
"He does not play every down. I have seen full games. This is not in dispute. Average fans have seen it because several games have been televised. He did not play every down in the Herbstreit classic in the first game of the year that was broadcast nationally. He did not play every down in two different playoff games including the state championship game. He was not hurt. I suspect finding these games somewhere online is possible if you are really determined."

Have you even watched Price's film? You should take a look if you haven't. Price is an absolutley dominating speicmen right now. Nacho isn't anywhere near Price as of right now. He may get there eventually, but when you see Price, think John Simon. That Simon guy is pretty good I think.
It was a Fluke that Taco's team's opponent made the Championship game and HS football fans in Ohio will tell you that St. Iggy O-line this past fall was mediocre at best(Iggy won because they have one of the best if not the best HS coach in the USofA). I watched Charlton vs my Moeller Crusaders and he had 1 measly tackle tying him for 12th best on his team. Charlton has a big frame and is very athletic but he is very weak at the point of attack. Everybody knows he's a softy.
There's no point in arguing lol. If Isaac and Treadwell signed with Michigan they would immediately be deemed "not athletic and not playmakers." And they also think Morris is a bum which should tell you a lot lol.
Not sure how good Taco is but he really does not start
Both Mich and Ohio State will have awesome classes this year.....The big difference is that Urban goes after a different type of player.....more SEC type players with a ton of speed....In the end you will find that OSU will have more play makers and you will see Mich getting back to the Michigan of old.....really good offensive line with a good running game and solid QB play.....for me personally I am excited more than ever to be a Buckeye fan because we will put up a ton of points and really get after the QB....I will be shocked if Urban doesn't win a National Championship in 2013 or 2014
No actually those guys are play makers however none of the recent verbals would be considered play makers other than the QB
SO WHAT!!!!....I DON'TCARE...What TSUN is doing on the Recruiting Front In FEBRUARY!!!...There is approximately A YEAR left for this Recruiting Class of 2013. We started 2012 at the bottom half in the Country (#22 or #23)and by the end of 2012 had the #3 Class in the US Blowing by TSUN. ScUM can front run all they want I could care less, let's see where we end up at the end of this year then talk to me.
I will believe in what Urban Meyer is doing, because if you think about it the Top 3 Players in Ohio all FIVE STAR young men are off the Market and are proud members of Buckeye Nation, also one of the Top CB's in the Nation is a Buckeye and has openly said he will help in the Recruiting efforts. Just stay the course, we will be perfectly fine when it's all said and done.
Only reason Hoke is a good coach is because he's from Ohio, only reason Michigan is having good recruiting classes is because they recruit Ohio kids, only reason Michigan has ever been relevant is because of Ohio.
I think Michigan is officially Ohio States little Brother, congrats little brothers on your haul this weekend of recruits. Congrats on gobbling up our table scraps.
Look....I know that Buckeye Fans "don't care" who Michigan gets. And I agree...Michigan has a ton to prove if they want to say that "Michigan is Back". We still lost to MSU and Iowa (horrible frickin' games). And we beat OSU who had all kinds of issues going on. Not to mention THE GAME was played in A2 and STILL damn near lost it. That said, I'm calling BS on you really feeling that the 4* recruits (still very early so a lot can happen with some going up and some falling in rankings) are "table scraps" Marty. In fact, I'm guessing that you would be like Will Ferrell in Old School, running through the streets of Columbus streaking and screaming "O-H" if OSU signed the players that Michigan recently signed within a 72 hours period.
Of course my reply was an over exaggeration and the haul of kids your team pulled in was impressive, but realistically none of those kids were going to be offered by Ohio State except for maybe one so that was my reference of table scrap. Also all of those kids were going to go to Michigan no matter who was the coach, they were Michigan fans growing up and would have committed no matter what. So congrats on your weekend, but lets see UM now recruit the Ohio kids that didn't grow up scUM fans.
Also I would not be streaking through the streets screaming OH on 8 kids not even in the top 100, I would be excited yes but none of those signees are freshmen starters.
Original poster- step back from the ledge. Let's compare our class to theirs on February 2, 2013, we will see who's class is better.
Here's some help for you Brother read this link and it should calm your nerves a little http://www.thebuckeyebattlecry.com/
he didn't start a few games because he was injured....
No, Soft Taco Charlton did not start most games and sat out large portions of games because he is soft and is a non factor. He fills the bill of looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane to a T. Charlton had none of the national elites offer him, none. Big time kids from Ohio always do. Sevon Pittman had Florida State, Alabama, LSU, Florida and Auburn all offer him amongst his elite list, and Auburn and FSU tried to get him to visit late post his OSU visit. Steve Miller from McKinley the year before, LSU, Florida, Auburn and other elites.
Charlton is a project and soft as the other side of the pillow, there is a reason the big time programs avoided him.
Onto the CB from fraud factory Detroit Cass Tech, only Toledo offered. Another in a long line of overrated and overhyped Cass Tech kids that will do nothing, throw that OL in as well. Cass Tech === very little results in college once the ratings hype is over. Outside of Vern Gholston at OSU and Barksdale starting, but underachieving at LSU in regards to his hype, you can name the Cass Tech busts: Cissoki, Mathis (done nothing at Oregon to date), Campbell (fights to play and is soft), Gordon and the list goes on.
Same with OLSM kids, Dionte Allen, Washington, Bolden, it goes on. Michigan HS football is weak compared to Ohio and Pa, not even close.
Now we can talk about the H back you got over Central Michigan, wow another big time pick up. Congrats, you beat the Chippewa's.
Now you got Dukes, you beat Toledo and Illinois, very impressive.
Throw in Butts, who once again had no OSU offer and not one from any of the nations, as of late, top SEC/Big 12/Pac 12 offers, another solid but not great kid.
Sum it up, outside of a few OL right now, and what will be another overrated QB at Michigan like Henne and Mallet, not much outside of the star rating system Michigan fans fall in love with, sort of like their expectations that blow up every year, as almost every year at the end of September they are elimnated from their delusional national title thoughts with losses.
Take a kid like Courtney Love from Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, who should commit to OSU at the end of the month, besides his early offers from OSU, MSU, Nebraska, West Virginia and others, he just picked up offers from Oklahoma and USC, that is big time.
Look at Urban Meyer's DL's at Florida and the SEC style DE's he got in 2012 like Spence, Pittman and Washington, kids like Charlton and Butt never even came close to fitting Meyer's style of explosion and fast disruptive big athletes, not close at all.
