Courtney Love list 2 at top

  • Many of you may know but Ohio State and Nebraska are at the top of Loves list. One of his high school teammates is already a soft committ to play at nebraska so I am sure he is in his ear about being able to play together. Heres the link

  • Love's teammate, safety Marcus McWilson, committed to Nebraska without ever having stepped foot on campus, no doubt Mooney alum Bo Pelini leveraging his old Youngstown Mafia contacts. Besides McWilson, CB Braylon Heard and WR Tim Marlowe also play for Nebraska so there are some familiar faces there. McWilson and Love are in Lincoln right now.

    iowabuckeyes

  • Yeah they both are. And in the video love seems very very very high on nebraska

    Gubber227

  • Let him go. We only have room for ONE LB,unless this class gets a lot bigger, and he is NOT the #1 LB on the list.
I would take Smith and Kimbrough above him., or even steal McCrary.
We already have enough MLBers, and it seems that his style is MLB.

Don't know about you dudes, but I am thinking Kimbrough >>>> Love.
Agree, if dude doesn't want to play for a contender and the better squad/ program/ Head Coach, then let him go!

If the Bucks can get Anzalone, Kimbrough and pull off the recruitment of young Jaylen Smith, Love will not be a missed quantity.

As opposed to playing for the Bucks, he can personally witness the throttling of Nebraska at the hands of Coach Urban Meyer!

Not hating on him at all! Quite the contrary.
I am all for dude being a Buckeye, but this isn't the program to be wasting time on kids showing love for other squads.

Spots and "schollies" are limited, so there's no time for hesitation as the train is leaving the station!
If dude wants to be Buckeye, then be a Buckeye and commit already!

No time for screwing around as its not like dude is a 5* recruit.

Time to get in where you fit in and stop with the Nebraska bull crap.

    GO BUCKS!!!

  • Dude, C. Love is so so underrated! He is definitely a 4 star if not a 5 star. All will see! He punishes the best, I agree - jump on the train C. Love.

  • I have to respect a kid who's looking at other schools. I want him to know that whatever school he chooses is the best one for him. And if it's Ohio State, I don't want him second guessing his choice. Otherwise, you have to expect schools to roll out the red carpet and try to wow recruits. And if you're 17, it's got to be hard not to be impressed every time you step on a different campus. I know I would have been but Ohio State is the only school that wanted me.

You guys are funny. If a kid doesn't want to commit right away you have no time for them. Heaven forbid they enjoy the process and see what school fits THEM the best. If we don't have room for them then so be it but to diss a kid for looking at their options is just plain childish.

Love is probably going to end up being a Buckeye so you should probably not dog him.

I agree. I mean, really? This is what it's come to? Dissing kids who commit elsewhere is one thing but why are people slamming kids we've offered who haven't even made their choices yet? Who could be monitoring these sites and seeing what derogatory things people are saying about them? Just because they do what just about every kid thinking about college does, which is to visit campuses? I can't imagine that if an ordinary student posted on FB or Twitter that he or she had visited a campus and really enjoyed themselves, they'd catch anywhere near the kind of grief football and basketball recruits do.

Why can't we respect the process and their right to enjoy themselves and envy their gifts and wish them well in making their choices?

C'mon Iowa you know better than this. No one is dissing the kid as this is a board and mostly just full of talk, hence the term message board. I want you to point out where I have insulted Mr. Courtney Love? What I said was/ is true. Dude isn't a 5* recruit and there ARE other LBs that the staff is looking at right now.

Good luck with finding my reported "insults" as I haven't provided any such comments. All I have said is that dude needs to get on board asap.

Let me be clear here so there are no more false claims of insult or fake outrage on this topic:

I WOULD LOVE MR. LOVE TO BE A BUCKEYE AND A PART OF THE 2013 CLASS!
    clap

Okay now that settles it. Now back to my original set of points. If this kid thinks he's got until NOLID then both of you are sadly mistaken. The offers keep going out and Coach Meyer is fueling up the train. His screwing around with Nebraska and sniffing Pelini's jock is jeopardizing his future as a Buckeye.

That bell you hear ringing in the background is a notice that the train is leaving the station with or without one Mr. Love. Get on dude. Make the best decision of your life as I would love to see you ripping it up on Saturdays wearing S&G!!!

Some of you guys kill me with your over sensitivity and inability to merely be frank.

Relax a bit and we'll see how this plays out.

I can bet you if 4-5 of these recruits commit this weekend, I bet you will see a heightened sense of emergency from this kid and others like him screwing around with the likes of Clemson, Norte Shame and a few other crappy schools.

We'll see. The tickets are handed out and Coach Meyer is only waiting on a few kids. The others will have to fend for themselves or find their careers in far and distant places other than C-Bus!

  • All I know, BuckNasty, is you asked people to cool it dissing Diggs, who you said you personally know, and respect his right to be his own man and make his own decisions. That knife has to cut both ways. And just because it's a "message board" doesn't mean we can't have some reasonable expectations for civility, decency and decorum, any more than just because I'm standing on my property, that doesn't give me the right to scream obscenities across the street at my neighbor and claim Freedom of Speech.

I am a Courtney Love fan but I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan. (Although I admit I am looking forward to the first time an announcer says, "Courtney Love fills the Hole." No doubt a Nirvana reference will immediately follow.) Despite what you think--and I respect your opinion--I think Love's a big time player. But I can live with any of the LB recruits we've offered plus Tim Kimbrough.

I'm just saying let's just cut these kids some slack. I keep being reminded of what Art Schlichter once said about how 40 year men fawned over him like they were star-struck teenage girls. We expect these teenage boys to make grownup decisions but is that fair when the grownups are acting like little kids?

This is funny. I respect your opinion too, but the tone of your post is that I am somehow disrespecting C. Love when its clear that I am not.

What I am saying is that I want C. Love in this class along with the other dudes I pointed out. However, the truth of the matter is that the open slot list just got a tad bit smaller, so what I stated in my last post with regard to "getting on the train" is even more true now that Sprinkle has committed to the class 0f 2013.

You and I can like C. Love all we want, but he doesn't have all day to wait. If there are a number of commitments this weekend and if C. Love isn't one of them, I am going to go out on a limb and say that he's not a part of this class.

That's just the way I see it. He will be on the outside looking in...IMO.

    GO BUCKS!
