Dorian Bell?

  • Maybe I'm seeing things but watch the first few plays of the spring game and I swear that is Dorian Bell in a red coat and grey sweats on the sideline. Is he enrolled?

  • Can't read your locked post. But thanks for playing.

  • My bad. First play, sideline, red jacket grey sweats. That's D Bell. Just curious if he could come back in the fall with no scholarship?

    markv

  • I'll take your word for it. I haven't seen the replay, not that I would recognize Dorian anyway.

He played in seven games for Duquesne last fall--37 tackles, 4 TLF, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble. If you transfer from FBS to FCS, you don't have to sit out a year but I'll bet you have to sit out a if you try to do it in reverse. And Duquense's colors are red and blue so he may have been wearing a Duquense jacket.

The other thing is he was one of Fickell's LBs and Fickell was HC when Bell quit or was kicked off...why would Luke want to take a head case back?

I'm betting he just came back to hang with his buds and someone probably got him a sideline pass.

    iowabuckeyes

  • That definitely is Dorian Bell.

  • Just watching the replay of the game on BTN and yep that's him down with the guys while their stretching.

  • Wonder why Bell never materialized? 5 star kid coming out of HS, a total stud.

Dude where are you in Saint Louis?

I am originally from that area. Wondering where you are camped at in the STL??

    Sweet!

I grew up in Black Jack off of Parker Road. Went to Hazelwood East a few years back.
I am in the nation's capital, but still recognize the STL as my home!!

I was out there back in the 70s/80s when you would see families of deer running across the road. Shit was rural
back then, which made for a great time as a kid! clap

I heard that it has ALL changed since those days, but its good to connect with Buckeyes from the area.

Do you remember Reggie Germany? He was a Buckeye WR back in the day, but was from the STL. Also the Bucks just signed a new RB recruit from John Burroughs who is from the STL.

How ya feeling about the Rams and the draft??? Think they helped themselves??

    GO BUCKS!!!

Ya I went to Hazelwood Central. O'Fallon was all rural even 15 years ago. Now it's all changed into quite the suburb.

I definitely do remember Germany. I actually went to hs with Nick Patterson, safety from a few years ago.

As far as the Rams go, I like what they've done so far, but still very concerned with the lack of help around Bradford. The team is a disaster, but I like what Snead and Fischer have done.

Reggie was from Hazelwood, MO. You may be thinking of Ken-Yon Rambo, Germany's running mate at WR--he was from California.

Hazelwood Central.......my school's NUMBER ONE RIVAL!!! clap

We hated you bastards with the venom only equaled by hell fire!! Talk About THE rivalry!!
Man we used to have some barn burner ass football games. Every year either one of the two squads was strong.

Not sure if you remember Tony VanZant who was a tailback at Hazelwood Central? For a long time this dude was the best damn TB that I had EVER seen live for a while and knew he was destined for the pros. Dude blew a knee his Sr. year and didn't even get to college. Think he tried at Lindenwood (DII/ DIII) but never over came the injury. HE WAS A MONSTER and the fastest mutha I can remember.

I was in HS when he (Vanzant) was at Central. Also went to school with a few good ones at East where we put the head whippin on Central a few times!! This was CLASSIC 5A football and its puzzling that none of those dudes made it past the grips of University of Missouri at the time, which was flat out horrible!! Horrible program that was known to waste talent from the STL area on the regular.

    What yr. did you finish!!

    GO BUCKS!!!
