I'll bring the gospel straight to you. Basically, people aren't necessarily happy, as it never hurts to add a quality player, but most people are shrugging it off. EJ was a luxury player, as we'd already gotten the 2 LB commits we were looking for from this class. EJ was also the last LB on our board - after the coaches felt they were pretty much in with Gedeon and turned away Dorian O'Daniel and Alex Anzalone, EJ would've been coming in as a "best available" player as opposed to a need position at LB.
So, while you won't see anyone jumping for joy, nobody's really too broken up about it. C'est la vie. It would've been a much different story had we not gotten the LBs that we did last year and earlier this year.

I know this might be a stupid topic to some of you, but I was wondering if any one of you could tell me what Scum fans are saying on their board about EJ Levenberry committing to FSU even though he was a supposed lock. I was recently banned from their site and I won't be able to go back until the 26th.

CMXI you are so full of shit! I knew the second he picked FSU that your shit fan base would come up with a excuse of why you didn't want or need him. (We stopped recruiting him, he wasn't important, he would have backed up some rag from last year etc.) It's ok to say hey he's a stud and picked another school. When is the last time you had a quality LB? Woodley? Recruit five more O linemen that fat bastard can tell they are the next Jake Long. #yousuck #Denardisasenior #silverbullets

You are completely full of shit! Sure......you decided that the no. 15 prospect in the country was expendable because you got Ben Gedeon......Are you fucking serious, loser?????
You guys have gotten way too cocky and way too fast. Your team's whole last year was better than the sum of its parts and you lost eight starters. You also weren't very deep to start with. Further, you will be going on the road for some of the games you fortunately had at home last year. Prepare to take a step back.

I am going to ruffle some feathers only because I am a Michigan fan, but I want to chime in also towards the OP.
It sucks we missed on Levenberry for sure! No one is doubting that. CMXI stated some general beliefs of the fanbase. The coaching staff "stopped" recruiting linebackers once they had a commitment from Gedeon. I don't know for certain on who they officially stopped recruiting but I do know they turned some visits down, one of which was O'Daniel and Anzalone MAY have been another. Levenberry was told he had a spot if he wanted it meaning the staff REALLY wanted him. The general concensus is he wanted to major in Criminal Justice and Michigan does not offer that program, which could have been the pushing factor.
With that being said, We may still be trying to lure Hutchings(?) in for a visit but we are essentially done with LBs for this class as we took 4 last year as well, unless of course it is an elite talent.
As for GABuckgrad, we very well could take a step back as I feel we overachieved, we have a tough schedule and no one wants to take on an over-signed Bama team first game of the year. GABuckgrad, you guys did want Gedeon as well and no one is saying they would rather have him over Levenberry from Michigan's fanbase (if they are, I certainly don't agree with them).
I know this is my first post but I have been reading for a while and figured I might give you my opinion. Bash me if you will, but good luck to you and see you in November!

+1 big man for calling bull shit on this poor sap.
This clown is so much in the know he just had...........to let us know what scUM nation feels about getting kicked in the nuts by Lavenberry.
What I find suspicious is and funny is that he/ she/ it couldn't just keep its mouth shut and pass this thread by. She just felt compelled to weigh in as if we really give a fuck about them getting embarrassed by Lavenberry.
They have (scummers) been running their collective mouths for weeks talking about this kid. Now all of sudden its water under the bridge for this sorry program and sad sack band of fans.
FRACK scUM & Frack this female for coming on here to lie!!
Go away ass hole because we DGAF about you, the state of Michigan nor the fact that you just got left out in the cold by this recruit!!

To be honest, I have no idea why Gedeon is highly regarded. He is a better Te, but hes Ryan Hamby at best at that position. He does not have elite speed and is not likely a cover guy. I also don't see a Passion from him jump off the screen. Lyre and company missed big on evaluating him.

Others like O'Daniel were clearly turned away.
