  • Yeah, yeah, yeah. Blah, blah, blah. And he originally said, per the article before the scUM blog re-edited it, that The Game will be played on 11/27, which is a Tuesday, not 11/24 as it says now. Many of us had a little fun at that--"yeah, there'll be blood on the field but it won't be Kalis's because he won't be there..." And it was edited without an editor's note that they had corrected it. Someone got the date wrong--was it Kalis or the person who wrote it? In any case, altering an article after it's been published without noting it's been modified is irresponsible journalism.

    But what's really interesting to me is how the volume is really being dialed up on The Rivalry. I have been an OSU fan for over 35 years and I cannot remember when there's been more nastiness. It's like two packs of wild dogs growling over a piece of meat. And I'm having such a good time, it's giving me a Woody! Bring it on! Let's get ready to rumble!

  • The good thing about people like Kalis talking so much smack is if he doesn't back it up on the field, he's going to look REALLY bad, and even more so if Michigan loses to Ohio State while he is there. This is why coaches should always encourage kids to do like Brionte Dunn and just ignore it. Michigan fans have been saying the same crap to him that OSU fans have said to Kalis about wishing him injury, bad luck, etc. but there's no story on Yahoo about it because Brionte hasn't made a big deal about it, which is how a mature person handles this kind of criticism. I suspect Kalis just feels he needs a lot of attention for some reason, especially given how much he is running his mouth while not having participated in so much as a winter workout at the college level, yet.

    I believe I've read that his family are Ohio State fans. Gotta feel bad for them having to be associated with someone like this.
