WOW is this an interesting thread I am glad I opened. I was questioning how Elmer got out of Michigan but who opened the door here? As if Michigan didn't have enough Bodies now, do you guys really think some of these guys still are interested in servicing themselves up on Hoke's plate?
Of the Five verbals this year, only 2 are OTs, and 3 OGs OTs - Tillman & Cox OGs - Kugler, Dawson and Bosch
And from the class of 2012 3 OTs and 1 OG OTs - Magnuson & Braden & Kalis OGs - Bars
I say Kalis plays OG but that is just me
Class of 2011 OTs - Lewan & Schoenfield & Gunderson (pwo) 3OTs They have a handful of walk ons and more at OG that play.
How many years in a row do you think they can continue to recruit 3 OTs in a class and these kids will keep verballing to go there and sit behind others and either move over to OG, or transfer out of the program? Have any of you guys sat down with all the commitment lists other the past five years or more to see the rate of attrition at Smellville lately? I dare say any of you. But I have. It is horrible. Why do you think they have had the ability to have these sizes of recruiting classes the past 2 years. Hoke has turned the whole roster over since he has been there. It is very hard to tell who is on scholarship and who is a walk on without really studying their roster.

i thought the same thing. I think no way in hell does Pocic even really consider UM anymore that they pretty much have there OL class filled for 2013 & the chance of flipping Elmer to UM is wow. Would be a great get for UM. I also think Kalis plays G at UM. Logan TT is a great get for UM would of loved to have him in Columbus but he was always UM bound. If UM would get Elmer, I would see Kugler Dawson Bosch & Fox all playing Guard. Even though thats where I see Kugler Dawson & Bosch playing anyway. I could see Fox playing Tackle. For 2012 class I only see Magnuson & Braden playing Tackle. Kalis & Bars are Guards.

Seems as if Hoke is successfully selling the idea that the best player will play. These kids, especially those who are elite, are confident that they are the best. And in reality, Tunsil/Pocic are pretty damn good so they have every right to feel this way. Good O-limemen like playing with other good O-linemen, and competing with one another for PT can only make them better. I'm sure there are some who are turned off by our O-line haul these past 2 years, but others are becoming intrigued to join the party. (See Wisconsin)
