Elite kids are rarely scared of competition and are willing to come in a practice with players who are equal talent because they will improve.

There's a difference between going against good competition on the other side of the ball and having that good competition on the same side of the ball causing the person to constantly being forced to improve his game because he is always battling for a spot or to keep his spot.

This guy is an idiot, plain and simple. OSU is going to land another 3/4 top OL, you can bank on it, we just got Lisle and are in in 5/6 more elite OT's.
Your going to battle to keep your spot most school similar talent, you are not going to go against DL talent like OSU has now, and Meyer will add again in 2013 unless you go south to the SEC, FSU, Texas or USC.
Michigan does not have close to OSU's DL speed and athleticism, and Meyer will lap them again with the DE's and DT's he has lined up from down south, the mid atlantic and the east coast.

Glad to see Lisle in the fold now. I have a gut feeling Pocic will be a Buckeye too after a visit.

Cristach- sorry, we've beat you 7 of the last 10 years. But even that's not completely accurate. A few of those years we only took around 15 guys, our classes were small compared to yours. The more recruits you get the better your class will be. So you beat us based on quantity.

In 2012 our class was better, 2013 won't be any different.

Why is everybody getting their panties in a bunch in the first inning of a 12 inning game?? scUM has done well in its OL recruiting and in a hurry. Congrats to them. We have several 4* OL recruits on our board with legitimate shots at them, if not being the probable winner with most of them. I like what we did with the OL in 2012 and with an incredibly short of tiem to work with. Reid Fragel will be a real horse at RT in 2012. I jsut wish we had converted him much earlier in his career at OSU. He didn't/doesn't care where he plays, he just wants to see the field. This kid will play on Sundays and at RT! Converting Balwin is also a good move. Both Fragel and Baldwin have good speed (for an OLineman) and have very good body flexibility.

With respect to our 2013 OL class, Bivins is an honest 4+* and certainly compares favorably with scUM's recruits. Unless something untoward happens, he is very likely to commit to OSU by the end of Spring Ball. With scUM filling/filled(?) up, we have at least a 50/50 shot at Pocic and I will bet on Urban with any otherwise 50/50 shot. Peterson will eventually get his 4th * and become the heir apparent Center and is a great get. And I like our chances with the kid from Massachusetts, although he may need tor redshirt a year. When NLOI day comes next February, we will have a VERY good OL haul, just scUM does have and will retain. It will be like old times, except we will still kick the tar out of the arrogant wannabies.
