Would have been a nice pickup for us. Good thing we are deep at the position. Baugh is going to be a monster and Vanette, Heuerman and Thomas are young guys with a ton of upside.

The guys poor parents. Live in Florida and will have to travel to two different places up north to watch the boys play.

Im not usually one to complain but this kid can kiss my ass. He begs for an offer and then goes with the devil Brian Kelly. I hope Kelly berates him on tv and he regrets every second of his decision.

As I said on another thread, the funny-as-hell silver lining is that two sons of a man who played basketball for scUM chose two of his alma mater's biggest rivals (us #1 and ND co-#2 with MSU) to play their college football.

Heuerman has a brother at Ohio State and chooses ND. Jaylon Smith also has a brother at Ohio State and is heavily interested in ND. Hope it doesn't end up in a repeat! With that said g/l to him at ND.

It really sucks about Heuerman going to ND. I really thought that one was in the bag. But ND is starting to become TE "U" under Kelly. Anyways can't blame the kid and wish him the best of luck.

@Taylor, how about you quit being a big baby? Look at my posts and Ive NEVER ripped a kid for his pick. I (as I explained) dont think soliciting offers from a team and then jumping on and off bandwagons is cool. Especially if it possibly hurts us with another recruit (McNeil). Climb down out your ivory tower Mr. Perfect. Nothing is worse than some holier than though jackass on a football site. If you dont like it, block me or shut the hell up.

I too am pumped about Baugh. I think that McNeil would be a good addition as well if there is room and we can get him.

Good luck to him. Would of welcomed him of course but im more than content in just having Baugh and getting somebody else other than a TE with his wouldve been schollie and Bobeks.
Getting another ELITE TE next year will be a piece of cake after what Stoney does this year

Saw this on Bucknuts front page today, in fact it was such a big writeup I thaught I was on the ND site.
God kid and I wish him luck (Not ND Though) and I really don't see it as a big loss with what we already have and what we can get with the additional scollie.

Yes, but maybe the kid wants a good education from a very reputable college. Lord knows 99.99999% will go pro in something other than their sport.... to quote an NCAA commercial.
Also, probably did not want to be in his brother's shadow. Good for him.
