How Many Stars Would You Give Our 2013 Targets?

  • apparently your on something bro. Cam Burrows has said a million times that OSU leads by far for his services. Dymonte is overrated. Ive seen him play in person about 5 times. Against good competition, he isnt nothing.
    Jake Butt dosnt even have a UM offer. He grew up a Buckeye fan. He liked his UM visit but wants to be a buckeye.

    Charlton grew up a big buckeye fan & wants an offer. Liked his UM visit. we will see what happens?
    Gedeon has a UM offer, but grew up a OSU fan & ND fan. wants an OSU offer. hes up for grabs.

  • So basically Ohio St doesnt need a ball hawking Safety,3 very good pass rush linebackers.a stout RT (i think Kalis would be a decent LT--but a great RT in college) and P Brown one of the best pure pass rushers in the nation (sure he's raw-but he can be thought )

    I can see it now WHEN DUNN commits to Michigan ,we didnt want him anyways.Funny how Dunn has been around the Michigan campus way more than the OSU campus...

    Jarrod WIlson (UM) Heard the name De'Van Bogard before?? apparently not. we also still have a great shot at landing Bam Bradley & Demetrious Cox. Possibly even Jordan Diggs. we also got Najee Murray, Tyvis Powell, maybe even Frank E.
    @ LB, we got Curtis Grant & Ryan Shazier last year along w/ Crowell.. This season we got Luke Roberts, one of the most underrated players in the state. We are in the race for Ifeadi Odenigbo. Joshua Perry could be considered at LB, but most likely DE. Mason Monheim is also another LB on our board. Btw, Kaleb Ringer is a little overrated in my book. Bolden is tough, along w/ Ross & Jenkins-Stone is a tough group.
    Allen Gant is a nobody.
    Caleb Stacy will be a solid offensive lineman, AJ Williams is a player that could also be a solid offensive lineman or tight end.
    P. Brown is a bit overrated I think. He will be good for UM, because he is still better than anyother current pass rushers UM has.
    Tom Strobel was a good group along w/ Wormley & Kalis.
    Kalis will be a good RT for UM and Wormley will be great for UM. what happen to Diamond going to UM?? sounds to me like OSU is higher than UM on his list. We also will prolly land Nick Davidson & Alex Kozan who are alot better than Stacy, Bars, Braden. Mangunson is good and same with Kalis.
    We no longer want Kalis because of his mind set and Wormley was always a UM lean, so OSU didnt go after him like they do Adolphus Washington.

    UM has the better class, but OSU is just worried about filling in holes on the depth chart.
    I would pick Adolphus Washington & Joshua Perry anyday before Chris Wormley & Tom Strobel. We also WILL take Sevon PIttman away from MSU. So now compare A. Washington, J. Perry, S. Pittman to T. Strobel, C. Wormley & P. Brown. Yeah we would have you there.
    Wide Receivers are something you need and have none of in this class, we will have one of the best WR groups in the nation after we land Stanford.
    Brionte Dunn= Buckeye!! Warren Ball is almost as good! and you guys have no RB's in this class. you have a FB.

    At the end of the year we will have the class we have currently w/ Dunn in it, along w/ A. Washington, D. Stanford, A. Kozan, N. Davidson, I. Odenigbo, B. Bradley. Possibly even J. Diamond, and a few other OL from Ohio such as Storm Norton/ James Henry.

    this is just an estimate w/out me watching the films. Ive seen most of the players films for a few minutes, followed up on the articles about the players on Buckeye sites (Scout, Rivals, 247) These are all players being recruited by OSU & have OSU interests.

    I would add Jake Johnson Springboro WR to this list, I don't think he is rated right now but will be in the future. Very good speed and great hands, he will go get anything thrown his way and can make a move or two on a DB. He maybe on ScoutingOhio and Hudl now.

  • Deveon Smith is a four star running back...but he is a five star linebacker. (Call me crazy, I know.) He is too good offensively to see nearly enough snaps on defense, yet he is the hardest hitter on the field every game and lets you know by his running style. His 4.5 speed at tailback is the question. I grew up watching Clarett and Boom and truly feel Deveon is every bit as good if not better than both of them. I think he could be a good tailback at the college level, but he could be a GREAT outside linebacker. Heavy Michigan lean right now.

  • this 2013 class is starting to get more and more important. but also seems to be falling apart at the same time. but now that Urban Meyer is here, I believe he pulls this class back to where it was before all the drama took over. Urban will get in these recruits heads again and let them know to hold off and be ready forsomething big to happen.
    I believe with this hire in UM this recruiting class will begin to look a little bit better than before.
    Malik Zaire (QB), Jalin Marshall (ATH), Derrick Green (HB), Robert Foster (WR), Lovell Peterson (C), Kyle Meadows (T), Evan Lisle (T), Billy Price (DT), Tashawn Bower (DE), Elijah Daniel (DT), Jaylon Smith (OLB), Courtney Love (OLB), Michael McCray (OLB), Tim Kimbrough (ILB), Jayln Powell (S), Cameron Burrows (CB), Eli Woodard (CB), & Caleb Day (S).
    I believe this will be our class. Possibly add in another safety, wide receiver and hopefully another Offensive tackle.
    Or maybe a Defensive End (Butt/Charlton).

  • Speaking of 2013, check out Scott McVey's little brother Tim. These are Soph and a few early this-year- clips (Jr year). He's primarily a RB, but you will see some WR work, some sacks as a Safety on D, a couple KO returns for TD's in the same game, a blocked punt and recovery for a TD, etc.etc All against one of the tougher schedules in Ohio.

    He's playing for the State title in D1 this Saturday,,,,,,5-9 180.....about the same as Emmit Smith as a HS Jr.

    Over the past 10 years, I've learned one thing about college football recruiting. The glorified star system has little to no relevance as to how a lot of these high school studs turn out in college. 5 star studs like Connor Smith fall by the way side while 2 star nobodies like Brian Robiskie go high in the NFL draft. Recruiting is an inexact science. It will always be that way. That said, I am still a sucker for seeing how the recruits Ohio State pursues are rated. Unfortunately for me (and guys like me) we won't get to see how national recruiting services view Ohio's crop of 2013 talent until April of next year at the earliest (and that's just 25 five star players on scout.com.) So in the mean time, we can only guess how our future recruits will be viewed. That said, I've decided that I will play the role of a scouting service and judge each recruit Ohio State is going after and award stars (and national position rank) accordingly. Feel free to add to this list or change it to the way you see it. There are no right or wrong answers. It's all in fun. Since it's already been determined that Ohio State has interest from a lot of out of state recruits, I'll be adding them to this list as well. Here we go!

    UPDATE: I've decided that I will alter this main list as you guys influence me. New names will be added and current ratings will be altered as you give your opinions. Let's see how comparable our list is when Rivals, 247, and Scout release their rankings.

    I say they are all really nice kids give them like 12 stars each (: I mean the more stars the better they play in College right? Give them lots!!
