Is 8 the magic number?

  • One Defensive End, two Linebackers, two Athelets, two Offensive Tackels and one Safety? Spence seems like he may decide sooner then later. Perkins and Williams seem like athletic linebackers and we need depth bad. Some combination of Diggs, Caleb, Neal or Jones would be great. Dodson, Diamond, Davidson and for some reason I think Goodman. Maybe just wishful thinking on Goodman but he's from a Meyer hot bed and a teammate is coming. We need two tackles either way. Bam Bradley is the realistic safety I guess. That would be a great 8 any way you slice it.

    to get either perkins, williams, or marcus would be great for LB. To pick up one of these great tackles is a WIN to get 2 its a BONUS!!! GO BUCKS!!!

    I forgot about Marcus but he's saying not even visiting till January. We will save spots for Diamond and Dodson. This is going to be interesting.

    i just dont see cox picking us he has way to much going on upstairs. he is just like Dunn but NOT committed which means in the end he wont be a buckeye.
    Spence i dont have just because he is already on the team in my book. i forgot about Bradley but i could see Franky E. move to safety and open up a spot for the fantastic 4 ATH.

    Thats what I have been saying all along about Diggs being the second coming of Chris Gamble.
    Why wouldn't he be our answer to Safety?
    He has the "IT" factor!

    We are currently at 18, and I think we take 25 and so that makes 7 more. I know a lot of people are saying 23 but the way I look at it is that we have some spots open from last year class, so some of our guys coming in early can take those, berry is most likely gone, graham is going to leave, simon might leave, and there is other chances a few others might part ways one way or another.....so we will be getting a few schollies back besides who is graduating. Even at 25 with who we can push onto last years class and who will leave the program for whatever reason, we will still be able to take a reduction off the total number to appease the self imposed reduction. Three spots are being held for dodson, diamond, and spence, no doubt about that. That leaves for more, and I think they would like to take 1 to 2 between williams/marcus/perkins and 2 to 3 for the athletes......they could also drop the athletes to 2 and the lb to 1 and take another Olineman.......I think they will be able to fiugre out 25 though

  • If we have 7 more ... I would like the following:
    3 OTs: Diamond & Dodson for sure and then one of Humphries, Davidson or Goodman. We absolutely have to have three quality OTs, as we are very thin here. Need to buildup quality nunbers.
    1 LEO: Spence period. Impact player.
    2 LBs: Marcus and one of Williams/Perkins ... leaning towards Williams.
    1 Ath: Diggs period. Difference maker. Get him in and figure out where to put him.

    No Caleb if we can get Foster next year. No Jones or Neal if we can get Marshall next year.

    If we don't get Williams or Perkins, hoping for Kimbrough and Smith next year then I would take Kozan or Jones or another one of the OTs listed above.

    LB depth doesn't look good ... couple of questions on that front:
    Is Hagan an option here?
    How does Crowell look?
    McVey medical hardship?
    Does Turner ever see OSU?
    Can't see Sweat getting a medical redshirt ... right?

    So that would give us Klein, Shazier, Grant, Crowell, Whiting, Sabino, Hagan and hopefully Marcus and the diversity of Spence (LEO/SAM).
