Love commits to Nebraska

Was considered an OSU lock last week, but after recent developments this isn't a surprise. And yes, Urban really wanted him. Good get for Nebraska.

I think he wanted Alex Anzalone more and that is why he is a BUCKEYE!

Okay, so who is the better player? Anzalone or C. Love?
Does this move open the door for Mr. Kimbrough?
Anyone within the know on these dudes please let me know.
Something tells me that the Buckeyes are going to be just fine with Anzalone.
Something also tells me that if the Bucks get Anzalone, Kimbrough and secure J. Smith, then
C. Love will be merely be a footnote and an after thought for the 2013 class!
Just a hunch.

Alex Anzalone is much better than Courtney Love. Anzalone is ranked #65 in the ESPN 150. Courtney Love is not even close to being ranked in the top 150. I would have much rather have Anzalone than Love. Anzalone can play all three linebacker positions as well as running back if needed.

Not going to lie, I wanted Love. He was a nice player and a Ohio kid. But if you have not even played your senior year and your worried about the depth chart two seasons from now then you should go somewhere else. Your going to have to compete no matter where you go. Good luck!

Agreed...Anzalone is better. Though, i would not use ESPN to prove that...they suck.
Love has a lot of upside, and is going to be a very good college player though.

Kids at non priority positions picking other schools just helps thin the herd. We need Jaylon to step up soon. Otherwise, I liked Love a lot. But Pelini is a Mooney grad and he's got a bit of a pipeline started there ala Glenville for us. And now that Nebraska is in the B1G, they need to look east to Ohio and Pennsylvania now that their presence in Texas has all but evaporated. Good luck to him.

Congrats C. Love! Sorry I have to root against you, but, it is what it is! You had your chance to be a Buckeye! At the same time, I won't take nothing away from C. Love...........I would take him over Anzalone any day.

I agree. He's a "good get for Nebraska". Urban can't win them all.
Just be content with what we have, and don't crave for what we don't have. The Buckeyes will be fine.

When it comes to Ohio kids we want the best but only if they bleed to be a Buckeye. Love evidently does not. He is a good player and a very nice get for the Huskers. I wish him all the best except when we play them. All that being said I do believe Anzalone is better than Love as I believe also are Smith and Kimbrough. I am confident that any other LBer that we might take from those we have offered will be as good or better than Love. And they probably won't be concerned about competing.

Simon is one Mooney grad. Nebraska had four before Love and not counting Pelini. They have great fans and fill Memorial Stadium, which becomes the third largest city in the state on football Saturdays. Heck, by the time he gets there, I think Nebraska will be off our Legends rotation and there's a good chance we may never play them in his four years unless it's in the B1G championship game.
We play the other five Leaders every year plus scUM, which leaves only two games against Legends schools. In 2011 and 2012, that's MSU and Nebraska; in 2013 and 2014, it'll be Iowa and Northwestern, which means by 2015 and 2016, which projects to be his senior year, it'll be Minnesota and either MSU or Nebraska...and that's assuming the B1G doesn't expand again by then.
