Neal wont decide till February 21st

  • Has anybody seen this? sorry for reposting a Neal thread, but i was surprised he is waiting this long.

    He has limited his decision down to four-five schools based on various websites, Ohio State, Arizona, Notre Dame, Arkansas and (North Carolina)

    Obviously Diggs is the real prize, but good news is, that if Diggs does not decide to become a Buckeye this friday, Meyer has plently of time to push for this kid hard in the next 2 weeks.

  • Coach Meyer doesn't want this kid because of something off the field, we have one schollie left, either Diggs takes it or Meyer banks it for 2013 class.

    I was in the same boat but the more I look into it there are a lot of rumblings. Apparently he has a huge head, got in a fight with some players playing Xbox on his ov, and rubbed a lot of players wrong. I was really hoping we'd get him but oh well

  • Even without premium for weeks the OSU targets list has had Neal listed as NONE as in No chance anymore. Been that way for weeks now.

    Besides the weed on the OV, Here's another thing I heard. That the dad (Papa Neal) wants to get a cousin(Davonte's) on a track scholarship. Kind of a package deal thing.

  • None of this matters anyway since we apparently decided for him. It would be interesting to know all the true facts on the entire situation. I think he wanted something like a guarantee or even money for dad, because I don't see Urban turning away that good of an athlete.

    Why would you start a rumor about weed on this kid. The rumor on weed was on Diamond, not Neal!
    Get your facts straight before calling a young man a doper.

    Urban is NOT going to find any better in 2013.
    ESPIN has him as #1 Athlete.
    We need to get him in here for 2012, so we can win NC in 2013 with him.
    Next year is our trial run for our National Championship run in 2013.
    We have a bunch of playmakers that need two years of time to jell together for this to happen.

    I have no idea why Urban went all out for Diggs when his total yards catching the ball were ONLY 777 last year!

    Why? Urban knows a lot more than we do and if he sees a red flag and backs away, gotta trust him. He isn't gonna risk the program on one kid, regardless of potential. The same with Tressel passing on Erik Howard and Akise Teague, or Johnson- kouleanous at Iowa. Do you think those were all on coincidences they had SERIOUS run ins with the law. The Neal ship has sailed... Move on!

    With all due respect, how sure of this are you? I've read weed, $$$, Neal pissed off current prospects and players over an xbox game, he ants away from contact, etc.. Just wish I knew the truth on what happened..

  • I'm betting it's Arizona. They've signed 24, as has Arkansas, so they each have room for one more. UNC has 23. Notre Dame's got plenty of room.
