    I didn't even know we were recruiting him to be honest...if so, great. He's definitely a top notch talent.

  • Also going by 247's listings, he doesn't have an offer from us so it sounds like we're probably not recruiting him yet. Ranked a 103 on 247's ranking system, the #1 recruit in the nation. Looks like his top 5 is all SEC & Clemson.

  • Top 10? He has a top 4, was set to announce on May 18th but has now pushed it back because he wants to visit them again. Alabama, Ole Miss, Clemson, and LSU

    But that's going to be true 80-90% of the time, anyway. Per Rivals, we have offers out to over 100 kids. If we don't offer another single kid, which is unlikely, and sign 20, that's less than a 20% success rate, or greater than an 80% "rejection" rate. So what's one more kid?

    Why would we not offer the TOP kid on the Market whether he is interested or not?
    And it seems as if he was somewhat if we were in his top 10.
    We should sent out letters to the TOP 100 (Whoever that may be)
    I don't necessarily disagree with the mass mailing of Mattison and Michigan to a point.

    That's what I'm saying--90% of the kids we'll offer will reject us, so why not go after the best? He's a longshot but no one saw Marcus Baugh committing, either. If he says no, that's the same outcome as if we didn't go after him, so we have nothing to lose and a great player to gain by giving it a shot.

    I think recruiters need to draw the line at becoming annoying or a laughingstock like the case with the Georgia RB that Alabama's been after who they sent over 100 notes to in just one day. I hate the idea of flooding a kid's mailbox, of sending slick flyers or "personal" notes that are ghostwritten by secretaries and grad assistants and signed by Urban or an assistant. There has to be a better way to make a good impression. Not to mention saving a few trees.

Wah!!! Boo-who!!! He has also had Oregon, Texas and SC in his top five. One day he said Oregon was in his top five and he wanted to visit and then the next day he tweeted another top five without Oregon, but then tweeted a few hours after that "oh yeah Oregon's in there too." Kid is an attention whore. I'll give it to him though I respect his competiveness. He even wants to have the most twitter followers. Lol...what a joke. I still would love to have him at Oregon though, LOL!!!

    good post Ducking. I too hate how recruits can be drama queens. Only problem is typically thats how most top recruits are. Drama Queens. just soaking up all the attention while they are in the spot light.

    I dont twitter cause of privacy and legal reasons,but it sounds like the Top HS talent like to compare how many Twitter followers they got. He's been called #1 overall so it makes sense he's gonna get a big head....and wants more followers.
    I heard that KAka, the Brazil soccer star has like ten million, so wanna be Super stars want that "following".
    Twitter does not increase your intelligence, so expect a lot more stupid quotes...
    I agree with those who say PASS, or if you want love, come visit.

    Is this a trend, in two years will all HS football recruiting be tweets .
