Robert Nkedimche commits to....

  • Clemson! Wow! Bama fans have been saying for a few months now that he would eventually commit to them. I guess his teammate committing to Clemson had a big effect on him.

Worst program in D1 football...IMO. Haven't won a damn thing in a generation.

    What a waste!

There was a lot of Ole Miss chatter as well, because of his brother. But we've seen how that goes.

  • His brother, Denzel, is a RS FR LB/DB at Ole Miss. I kind of thought they would be the dark horse. It may be with his brother at Ole Miss, he wanted to steer clear of the SEC. Denzel might've even turned him off on Bama, especially since the Tide kicked the snot out of them in Oxford last year 52-7.

Doesn't really matter cause neither of these cats will win a damn thing.
No BCS games/ appearances, no bowl games that matter and certainly no championships!

They both have opted for obscurity and playing for two horrible programs. Hope they are good enough
to make the NFL because there will be no action for them for the foreseeable future!

I think Ole Miss is the biggest loser--Denzel wasn't even rated coming out of HS and he's listed as a 5-10/197 LB. Not much future there playing in the SEC.

That means Ole Miss's staff gambled by giving him a scholarship to do one thing--recruit his younger but much bigger and more talented little brother--and he failed. But he at least has a shot at a free college education.

But, hey, if you're one of the Ole Misses of the world, you gotta take a chance if you want your shot.

  • Clemson = 5* recruits go and underachieve.

Remember that top DE that fell so far in the draft? I forgot his name.

I'm hearing per Alex from 11w that he made this commitment without involving his father who kinda has a Anzalone-type approach to his son's commitment, so they believe 100% that they combined will reconsider the situation biggrin

  • Thankful that if we couldnt get him, at least the #1 guy went to a "threatless" program. No damage and no impact nationally. Must not want to challenge himself. Big fish, little pond. So sad.

  • BuckNasty_MD, What the heck are these kids thinking going to an ACC school like Clemson or maryland? They will never win a anything!!

    dkbuckeyes

  • I'm betting they're thinking that with the addition of CFB stalwarts Pitt and Syracuse, the ACC's level of competitiveness just went up a few notches and it's only a matter of time before an ACC school wins an NC.

    That or they're not thinking.

Clemson? Man, I just don't get the enamor out there about that school. Always overrated, year in and year out. I believe they've won one NC, like in 1980, then immediately had the NCAA down hard on them.

    Man I am not sure.

How do you spend an entire year or maybe even two, looking at schools and being wooed by top programs, rated as a top star player at ALL the camps then this is the best that you can do?

It just shows you that despite all the attention and top performances, some kids are REALLY stupid and don't take their futures seriously.
To select a poor program like Clemson and to play for a sorry ass coach like Randy Edsall is astonishing.

This would be like a 5 star kid opting to go to Central Michigan or Grand Valley State. At least we can say that Grand Valley State plays for DII titles and that's something that Clemson CAN'T say.

This is a joke! And so are Maryland and Clemson.
    no....confused

Whoops, I think West Virginia just scored on Clemson again!
