WR Jaron Dukes

  • Shelton Gibson = best WR in the state of Ohio. Will be a buckeye. Enough said.

    According to this list: http://rivals.yahoo.com/ohiostate/football/recruiting/rankings/rank-3028
dukes is 5th best WR in Ohio. Congrat scUM, you got a kid we did not want. A kid no where near being the best at his position in the state.

No big loss to the Buckeyes here, everyone just freak out because its an Ohio Kid committing to scUM

Thanks. I was early on in this thread saying the same thing. Trolls from Michigan like A19 were making accusations that were false. Typical Michigan self-delusion. They think that their team is still nationally relevant too.

I actually do think we see a Michigan resurgence over the next few years, and we get back to the Big 2 glory days of old, though with a solid mid tier - probably Wisconsin, Nebraska and Iowa. Ohio State comes out on top of that battle I believe. Furthermore, at the end of the day I think there only is going to be one team in the Big 10 that has the ability to beat Alabama 3-4 years from now, and that's OSU. Either USC ends the SEC's reign of terror this year or it will be up to OSU to eventually do it. I think Meyer wants revenge on AL and that's what's driving him. For me, we were partially responsible for the rise of the SEC mania and now we've got to go down and end it. At least that's the way it works in my mind.

5 in Ohios top 25 not to bad , looks like 2 years in row Michigan will have more top 25 Ohio kids than Ohio St

already 5 add McCray Ben Geodon and Gladney (all have Michigan very high) = 8 of Ohios top 21 (Scout)

Come on, man, let's try to be intellectually honest. You got Thomas, which was a very nice victory for Michigan. Besides that, you haven't landed anyone we've offered from Ohio. I also think you are unlikely to sign a recruit from Ohio that OSU wants in this class, but we'll see. If I'm wrong you can come back and rub it in my face.

Now, saying that you didn't get anyone that OSU was going to offer besides Thomas is not the same as saying you aren't getting some solid signees that are good football players who fit your system. You have a good shot with McCray for instance, who's tape looks really impressive. He'll be a great get if you sign him. Meyer likes Love more, though, and hasn't offered McCray. If Meyer had offered, McCray would be in the S&G. Because he now, sans OSU offer, has Michigan as a finalist, does not mean you can claim victory over OSU and legitimately imply you are dominating Ohio recruiting. You also can't hold out Butt, Taco and Dukes and say the same, b/c we didn't even offer them.

I mean if I pounded out a 400 on the track and then went over to my friend throwing discus and told him that I just crushed him in the 400 he'd look at me like I was crazy. That wouldn't mean I didn't run a decent time in the 400. It just means no-one else was on the track at the time and my friend was setting new records in the discuss.

Now, if you want to say you're getting great players outside of Ohio, I'll agree with you. Morris is a great base to build a class around, and your OL class is frankly extremely impressive. You're also looking good with some other top talent like Levenberry.

Richard, don't argue with trolls. They get the low hanging fruit from Ohio that OSU hasn't got room for because we recruit nationally now.... the way UM did in its hey day. Now UM is a regional recruiter: northern Ill., second tier Ohio, Michigan.... that's about it. They used to have a presence all over the US. Now the only people outside the region they get are legacies... like Chris Fox. Sad, but it's like UM's "most wins in college football" thing. A relic of the past. No, the old days of the Big Two are over. It's Urban's time now. UM has won one game in eight years, and that trend will continue as long as its UFM v. Fred F.

Top 3 in Ohio this year.... UM scraping for crumbs... per usual. 7-1 in last eight games. Suck on it, A19, you troll.

Its all about quality not quantity. You've gotten one player in Ohio's top 10, Ohio State has 3 players in Ohio's top 10, and is about to have 4 when Shelton Gibson signs up.

Ohio State is getting the best players in Ohio, your getting the leftovers. If we had offered any of the kids you've mentioned, they would be Buckeyes, not scUM-bags.

Also, if you get a committment from anyone of these kids, and later in the recruiting year Urban wants them.....they will probably switch and become Buckeyes.

Don't come over here thumping your chest. You are still 1-7 in our last 8 games. Until you can beat us on a consistent basis shut your hole peewee.

Why did you go back eight games? That spans three different UM coaches and two different OSU coaches, but doesn't even get in all the games in each of the coaches careers. Why stop there?

Oh, to make yourself feel better. I see.

Look at the loser Peter Klima who keeps getting banned from the OSU scout sites running over here with his UofM panties all wadded up. Klima is loser, no matter what sites he goes too.
