scUM Going Ape Shat Over D. Smith Commitment

  • I was peeping in on the scUM board and noticed that they picked up Deveon Smith. Your boy Ass snake is over there pissing on himself and calling out Meyer because he feels that scUM got one over on the OSU!!

    It is perplexing as hell to see a school and bunch of Internet nerds getting so happy over the commitment of a three star recruit! Can you believe this mess? headslap

    A three star recruit and you would think that they just got a commitment from a top 5 candidate.
    I am telling you scUM and its sorry bank of fans have to be some of the weakest minded, low self-esteem types in the country.

    Can't believe this nor understand how a kid that is so lowly rated evokes such a visceral reaction from such a tired ass fan base. I think they are much worse off mentally than anyone really can imagine.

  • They can have him. I would only take 4 of their 16 recruits period. Their top 3 lineman plus Thomas, and that would only be if we whiffed on piocic (sp) and bivin. Their qb I would take if it was the 90s still but that's it. I would gladly let scUM have this class any year.

  • I don't think any linebacker recruit is worth getting worked up over. The bust rate for big name linebackers is high. Our best linebackers recently were 3 star recruits. Our 4 and 5 star linebacker recruits have done nothing but dissappoint.

  • We have 3 of basically the same back...good pickup for scUM but no loss for UFM. When we start landing all the national studs (which we will) and Taco STILL can't start for his high school team, let's hear what the trolls have to say then. In the meantime, this is the best RB commit scUM has had in 5 years (thank you DickRod)...let them enjoy it

  • Yawn is right. Carlos Hyde, Rod Smith, Dunn and Ball are all power RB's, and all are better than Smith, all are faster and all were ranked higher and had better offer list.
    OSU needs two speed backs, we got power backs out the wazoo.
    Land two of Green, Williams, Mizzell or Elliott and we rock.
    DE Spence from last year is faster than Smith, so is 2013 LB recruits Perkins and Marcus, no worries here. Another non elite play maker to go with Dukes, and all the non play making WR's and RB's they got in 2012.
    If I were a SCUM fan I would be yelling, they just embarrassed the Big Ten in hoops by losing to MAC team Ohio, that is all they have to cheer for, they suck.

  • forgive me, but i am used to cheering for my buckeyes in the tournament this time of year, not ruining a pair of boxers when my team signs a 3-star. Shouldnt you be doing the same, or....?

  • If I were them, Id be happy too. Hes a strong back with extremely good balance. They just basically passed on Issac for Smith. They may still be able to pull in Issac, but it would be a push. So congrats to them for taking Smith over Issac

  • When your team gets knocked out of the first round to a double digit seed I suppose following recruiting is all you can do. Since it is damn near impossible for tSUN to get a victory over an Ohio team in any sport, I guess any little victory counts? lol. Hey, if you can't beat them.... Just try to BE them, right? This commit didn't move the needle anywhere in the country except for the homes of scUM fans who still believe Michigan is relevant after barely beating the 2nd best team in the worst AQ conference with their best team in years. lol. You make me smile... And thankful. :)
    There is one thing Brady Joke would beat Meyer in, and that is downing a Porterhouse faster than Miller could run the 40. Rumor has it Hoke has been trying to be extra nice to Meyer so he could get invited to the Champions dinner.

  • In previous years, under Tressel, we would have been glad to have gotten him. But now under the new regime, we are just looking for a different kind of player. I think that Meyer prefers fast elusive backs over big power backs. It's not that Smith isn't a good player. It's just that we are looking to play a different brand of offense and already have big backs. Smith's concern about playing time at tOSU was probably well founded. Nice pickup for scUM though (though I would have preferred he go to Notre Dame).

  • scUM is only happy because the kid is from Ohio. Every time they get a kid from Ohio they will talk smack about how Joke is out recruiting Urban. I am sure Smith is a good running back, but we already have a full back field. We only have room to take the best back we can get, and I believe Urban will do that.

  • I have to say I liked Smith, I'm not going to dog him just for having bad judgment. But we are in on a bunch of very good backs.
    Isaac and one speed back will take away any sting. That being said I need a fix, can we get a committ soon!

  • SCum is excited because scout, for example, has him as a top 100 kid and 7th best rb. They also think that they stole one from us. Time will tell if he's really that good. Hopefully Urban will close this class like he did the last one with blue chippers and we will get over on them again in the recruiting battlefront. However, for now, they have a hell of a nice class put together. Denying that fact makes posters look like idiots. Meanwhile, like the rest of you I can't wait to see those cocky dirtbags get rocked by a tough early schedule this fall and go on to a disappointing season with a loss at the shoe as the cherry on top. Then we'll see how recruiting goes.

    If this kid fits in your system then it just shows that you are in trouble in the backfield. Keep filling up your slots with 3's and 4's as we nab the 4's and 5's.

    You are more than welcome to take the leftovers. I actually liked Deveon but bottom line is, we dont need him.

    We are being patient to find the best national talent, as you guys get your rocks off being able to say youre doing well in the great state of Ohio. Just shows you where the true talent is located.

    3star or not Smith is a baller and a excellent RB. He is someone who we should of grabbed. I don't care what star he is. Look at his film and you see it. This one im mad about. I could deal with the other ones that scUM got out of our State. Let's not just say a kid sucks because we didn't get him. We wanted him. They got him. Let's just move on to the next. Go Bucks!!
