The Best Damn Recruiting Board

Meh. Recruiting is important, but not the end all be all. I like Michigan's class, and I think OSU's class is going to be stellar. But ultimately, the difference will be because of the coaching and game planning.

I think the next few years are really going to be fun.

It's like the Democrats and Republicans standing on opposite sides of the House floor and screaming at each other at the top of their lungs that the other side's wrong and doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. The din is deafening and all I can do is shake my head and laugh. No one is listening because no one can hear what the other side's saying. But worse than that, no one really WANTS to hear what the other side has to say. And the absolute worst intolerance seems to come from posters who never attended either school. Truth be told, none of us are going to strap it on and line up on football Saturdays so our "competitions" in here should be more cerebral, more intellectual, our arguments articulated more provocatively and compellingly. But no, instead, people would rather scream and shout and call each other names as if the loudest voice or whoever has the last say wins.

I have never been on the Blue Board. Not once. I just don't see the point. As an OSU grad, I "hate" Michig@n but I respect The Rivalry and thus, by extension, scUM as our biggest rivals. They always have been and they always will be. Like it or not, we're fused at the hip; just as the Republicans wouldn't be anything without the Democrats and vice versa, neither school would be anything without the other--we are opposite sides of the same coin.

My position is post something intelligent and I'm happy to discuss it; I may even give you an up vote if I agree with it. That goes for everyone. In any case, enter and post at your own peril.

Hey, I agree that both teams are going to bring in top 10 recruiting classes but the difference between Ohio State and Michigan is that Ohio State develops their football players. Players at Michigan never get better. Michigan is doing one of the worst jobs in America to develop their football players. I can back it up by saying that Michigan has a top 10 recruiting class pretty much every year. But when those players graduate, where do they go? They don't get drafted! Ohio State on the other hand is doing one of the best jobs in America to develop their players' talent with their top 10 recruiting classes. I'll show you what I mean. These are the results from the NFL Drafts from 2011 on back to 2000. The evidence speaks for itself. Ohio State produces and develops better football players than Michigan. Ohio State has dominated Michigan for a long time, they still do, and they will remain doing so. Today, Ohio State has 46 players in the NFL. Michigan has 27 in the NFL. I rest my case. Ohio State owns Michigan.

2011- Ohio State had 5 players drafted while Michigan had 2. Ohio State had 1 in the 1st, 1 in the 4th, 1 in the 5th, and 2 in the sixth. Michigan had 1 in the 2nd, and 1 in the 6th.
2010- Ohio State had 4 players drafted while Michigan had 3. Ohio State had 1 in the 4th and 3 in the 7th. Michigan had 1 in the 1st, 1 in the 5th, and 1 in the 7th.
2009- Ohio State had 7 players drafted while Michigan had 2. Ohio State had 2 in the 1st, 2 in the 2nd, 2 in the 4th, and 1 in the 5th. Michigan had 1 in the 4th, and 1 in the 6th.

Wow, do u realize how stupid your making yourself look by saying if u like UofM then your a bad person? I'm from the state of Ohio was raised around bucks my whole life and have many friends that go to school at osu. I visit, I party their, even went to the "game" two years ago. I was raised to like Michigan the same way u were raised to root for the Bucks. That doesn't make u a bad person in my eyes. U might need a reality check huffy.

I know I'll get destroyed for this but I wanna know why some of u guys are so delusional. Kyle kalis is one he'll of a football player. U loved him when u had him. He commits to UofM and he is shit. I understand u think he is crap for going to UofM but not s crappy football player. When urban was hired he sure didn't think so! Kalis was one of the first people he called to try and flip. I thought UofM was gonna get Dunn, I would have put money on it. He decided to stay with the bucks, does that make him a crap player cause he is on your team? No way, he is a BEAST and is gonna have a great career as a buckeye (reminds me alot of Beanie sigh....). Give credit where credit is do. We both have great classes and it shouldn't be any other way. He's an ass because he's got a big ass mouth. He's shit because he's exercised VERY poor judgement by selecting your sorry ass school and responding with piss and vinegar in the process.

He's exposed an underbelly to his character and I for one am very, very glad he's done so early and even opted to go up to that shit hole called Ann Arbor. I AM VERY GLAD OF THIS DEVELOPMENT.

In all honesty, I would like him more if he went to Wisky or Indiana or even Toledo.

To be honest, it really just says something about what kind of person you are to go from Ohio State to Michigan or from Michigan to Ohio State. I know, I know... Justin Boren. Obviously he had some serious hatred for RichRod,as evidence by his hilarious halloween costume, but trust me, plenty of Ohio State fans had mixed feelings about him initially. Sure, we hated Rodriguez too, but Boren choose Michigan over Ohio State to start, and that made him a Michigan player. It's pretty clear that he came from an OSU family and that his brothers wanted to go to OSU. Now we are glad to have all of them. We have all lost respect for Kyle Kalis because he is from Ohio, choose Ohio State then ran like a coward when the road looked tough. If you choose Ohio State or Michigan, you choose the hatred for the other team that comes with it. Then, for him to start running his mouth immediately makes him look like the guy who tries to start fights at the bar only to hide behind his friends once he gets outside. Everyone knows the most dangerous person in the room is the one who isn't saying shit, and that definitely is not fake-toughguy Kalis. Now that we see who he is, we are glad that you have him and not us. Congrats.
