If you REALLY believe our Fr and So arent out partying then you are just a plain fool. It happens EVERYWHERE...hell I bet some of your children are "drinking illegally" as we speak. What does that say about you then? Its ok to post with logic, but statements like the one made about Kalis are moronic at best.

    It's like the Democrats and Republicans standing on opposite sides of the House floor and screaming at each other at the top of their lungs that the other side's wrong and doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. The din is deafening and all I can do is shake my head and laugh. No one is listening because no one can hear what the other side's saying. But worse than that, no one really WANTS to hear what the other side has to say. And the absolute worst intolerance seems to come from posters who never attended either school. Truth be told, none of us are going to strap it on and line up on football Saturdays so our "competitions" in here should be more cerebral, more intellectual, our arguments articulated more provocatively and compellingly. But no, instead, people would rather scream and shout and call each other names as if the loudest voice or whoever has the last say wins.

    I have never been on the Blue Board. Not once. I just don't see the point. As an OSU grad, I "hate" Michig@n but I respect The Rivalry and thus, by extension, scUM as our biggest rivals. They always have been and they always will be. Like it or not, we're fused at the hip; just as the Republicans wouldn't be anything without the Democrats and vice versa, neither school would be anything without the other--we are opposite sides of the same coin.

    My position is post something intelligent and I'm happy to discuss it; I may even give you an up vote if I agree with it. That goes for everyone. In any case, enter and post at your own peril.

    No, I understand that. There are two separate schools of thought here, and I don't have a problem with either. I don't hate Michigan because they are the best team we play, I hate them because they are Michigan. I will be perfectly happy if Wisconsin and MSU are good and Michigan loses every game by 50. The Game will always be fun to watch because it's the Super Bowl to both teams no matter what their record is. I mean we owned them during the Tressel era and it was no less of a rivalry at any point. And it's fine to go and view other teams boards I guess, a little self-conscious, but to each their own. Posting nasty shit is pretty childish. Not expecting a foul response is just dumb. Either way... O-H!

    I agree that we both have great classes. You've taken a few Ohio boys that we wanted, but the majority are our sloppy seconds. That's the way it's been for the last 10+ years and look at the success you've had. I see no reason for that to change. I also agree that it will be determined on the field. Too bad for you and the rest of that shit hole you guys call a town.

  • Good luck to Shane Morris. You're going to have to throw over Eli and Cam. While you have Adolphus, Noah, Sevon, and Joey Bosa coming for youre head. Defensive lines win championships, were going to have one of the best in the country. I can see Morris being a bust for sure...

  • here is what I see going on in recruiting between scUM OSU. hokey pokey has been stacking up this years class with as many ohio kids as he can muster. why? because he is trying to prove a point, that he can recruit in ohio. sure he has landed some good talent . what most folks are missing is that coach meyer is recruiting on a national level, no part of the country is off limits. I would have never thought we would see a highly touted qb leaving the state of texas. add to that a top tier tight end from california, and I would call that reqruiting on a national scale. so ann arbor state, can load up all they want, pound thier chests about shane morris, who by the way was beaten out in competition by jt barrett. point being, it just shows the quality of the player that coach is going after.

    not starting trouble but last Championship was 1997, and they weren't wearing leather helmets. The ten year war wasn't the last ten years actually, it was from 1969-1978 (Woody vs. Bo battles). Have a good one!!

I am talkin bout those kids that are the BEST at their respective positions. We have three of them at least, Marshall, Barrett, and Burrows, and we are gonna add Anzalone this weekend.

    See we arent so desperate to keep the ohio pipeline open that we just offer as many kids as we can. Mark my words, you are gonna regret taking soo many kids early.

    That's not correct. There's not alot of recruiting left for OSU unless we have some guys leave. We only have about 5 slots available currently and 4 could be off the board after the spring game. Bosa, Pocic, Lazard, Quick, Anzalone, Gibson, Hurst and Heuerman are all supposedly heavy leans. The 5 remaining spots are now at a premium.

    I think we should show the University of Michigan more respect after all they are the second best college team in the State of Michigan and some day they may even beat MSU. At full strength, they will not beat the Buckeyes and after Denard Robinson leaves, they will have a last century offense that will rely on the defense to keep rivalry games close.

    Best wishes against Alabama because after we take care of business in the Shoe in November I want it clear who the best team in the country is despite our bowl ban.

  • Shane Morris better be ready to play his freshmen year and better be as good as advertised or Michigan is FUBAR. Bellomy nor DG are gonna scare anyone. The problem with QB's and OL are that 50% or greater flop. Thats why I am glad Michigan is only taking 1 QB this year.

    Unfortunately Nebraska was the other split champion that year so the matter was never settle on the field unlike the 2002 championship. Nebraska clobbered an SEC team while UM barely outwitted Ryan Leaf, perhaps not the greatest challenge,

Theres not many teams in the FBS that have 2 bowl games a year (Red River Rivalry can be compared but not close) I like the competition but lets think logically. The speed on the OSU D-line is way to fast for those 6'7" 6'8" lineman you got. All you have really is Denard and Kovacs and I hope you guys can tackle better than you did in the spring game because i seen plenty of your guys just bouncing off of each other, part of it was tough running by the "3RD STRING RB" but if you guys play lazy like you did you have no chance in the B1G except for the fact you don't play PSU or Wisky.

  • Love the rivalry, but you are a little off on Michigan's tackles. Braden, Magnuson, LTT, and Chris Fox all come in as very flexible and agile athletes. While OSU's end rush will be as good as anything they see, they are certainly not plodding giants.

    And Michigan also returns a HB with more rushing yards than all of OSU's returning backs had combined last year, and two receivers who had more receptions last year than anybody on OSU.

    Michigan also returns nine starters from a defense that was sixth in the nation and second in the conference in scoring defense.

    No doubt OSU is and will be loaded with talent, but the disparity that existed between the two teams over the last 5-6 years will be all but gone in a couple of years (at least it appears that way from this staffs success so far).

    That's why so many of them are coming over to this board with their collective nipples out hoping that someone finds them cute and relevant again after a decade of futility. Losses at the hands of the "BEAST" Coach Jim Tressel (Those ass hole's worst nightmare), players such as Mike "the loser" Hart, Losses against App State and Dick Rod this program has been mentally damaged and suffers from extremely low self confidence.

    What they don't understand is that Buckeye Nation doesn't really care about scUM except for a few bleeding heart fans (mostly old timers) stuck in yesteryear. They show up from time to time making stupid ass statements like.."oh, oh, the Buckeyes are better when Michigan is good." REALLY??? shrug

    The bottom line is that scUM nation hasn't been holding up its end of the deal with regard to "THE RIVALRY" and after ten years they are FINALLY putting together something that resembles a football team. Everyone forgets that a year ago the media was actually asking the question is "the rivalry" dead because they got tired of Coach Tressel and the good guys whipping that ass so hard and so often! It wasn't even funny.

    What is hilarious is all the bravado, out right disrespect and shit talking when all they have won is two games of note.

    Those asses needed to worry about beating in-state rival Michigan State and winning the Big Ten before swelling up and thinking that they are somehow hard and tough. To me that would be and should be the immediate focus of that sorry team. Consequently, they need to stop coming over here to Bucknuts acting as they are somehow blessed just because they got a new coach and are little better than App State.

Go look at the offer list of the recruits then get back to me.....I trust coaches like Stoops, Meyer, Kiffin and Saban more than these recruiting sites......most of the Ohio guys Mich got we didn't want nor did any of the elite programs....also most of the offers by Urban were non commitable offers.....not sayin the players are not good....just not the elite national players Urban is going after......guys like McCray and Taco are not on the same level as guys like Bosa and Anzalone....nor is Butt even comparable to a guy like Baugh.

  • You always trust in your coaches...whether you are Michigan or OSU. I like both of these classes a lot. Quibbling about a couple spots in the ratings between these guys, frankly, is silly. Both classes are going to have studs, and both are going to have bombs.

  • There is little doubt that Ohio State and Michigan are seperating themselves on talent from the big ten. Only regret is how annoying its going to be to play them to end the season and then most likely play them again for the title in the championship game.
