I know its WBB but it is OSU. Plus with a good coach we could become a player. Who are some good candidates? Any insider information on the hiring process/schedule?
university of Daytons coach has done a outstanding job with their program, if this happened last year i would have said BGSU's coach, but i think he is at Indiana now....
My ltier 1 list would include:
Joanne McCallie at Duke. 54, Success at Duke and former MSU H/C
Kellie Harper at N C State -- young (36 or 37), 4 yrs at NC St and 5 Yrs at W. Carolina.
Muffet McGraw at Notre Dame - 58 but a "name" that will attract recruits. Very affordable at approx 615K/yr
Melanie Balcomb at Vanderbilt -- 51 but former H/C at X for 7 yrs and Ashland, asst at OU
Brenda Frese at Maryland -- 41, former Minnesota H/C
Tier 2 would include:
Courtney Banghart at Princeton, 34, has won 2/3 of games
Suzie McConnell-Serio at Duquesne, 56, 6 yrs experience, former PSU star
Kevin McDuff at Washington, 41, 9 yrs at X, very affordable.
Jody Adams at Wichita State, 41, 5 yrs exper., affordable
Sherri Coale at Oklahoma, 48, H/C at OU for 17 yrs
OSU is thinking big. My guess is OSU will try to make another Urban Myer hire and will spend big bucks for a tier 1 coach. The problem is OSU is a tier 2 WBB program and has been for quite a while. It will take $ (maybe 1.5 + mil) and selling strong high school talent pool to get a tier 1 coach. Most are already making 1 mil or close to it and have established, talented teams. For the top tier it will be all about $ and in state talent that will maintain legacy. There are many tier 2 coaches who would covet this job for the money, prestige and potential.
I was not sad to see Foster go. Got pretty tired of losing early in the tournament year after year.
You are not alone.
I would like to see Katie Smith get the job.
Brian Agler is my pick he still has a home here in columbus, and more then likely he's girl would come to OSU
Thanks for input.
Is it just me or does anyone else think it is weird to have a male coaching a womens team? Does this make me sexist?
Toledo's HC has been mentioned. Don't know much about her.

i like that pick....
Any news on Fosters replacement yet.
What's the latest news on the coaching search?
Don't exactly see many girls coaching boys? Not sure it's weird just the way it is.
