Say what you want. Tell me that to not blame it on the refs. Rediculous. All game.
Scum played the game of their lives and barely won a poorly officiated game.
I think the refs were fair overall. They clearly could have called a flagrant on Craft at the end.
although they lost and didn't play great in the overtime, i thought this was one of the best games the team has played all year. because the michigan guy jumped in the air to make a pass just as craft went to foul him i think the no flagrant foul call was correct. it sure looked like craft was fouled a couple of times on that last play. it is a shame that refs call things differently (as they did in the super bowl) at the end of a game. a foul is a foul whenever it happens.
great game by ross. williams played well as did thompson. craft certainly played his heart out on defense and made some good set up passes on offense, but he did try to do too much in the last two possessions of the overtime. michigan is a talented team coming off a close loss to indiana and playing at home. to lose to them in a close game like this really is not a terrible loss. osu played much better than they did against nebraska on saturday.
By definition of the rule, it should have been a flagrant 1. He clearly did not mean to hit him, but it was above the shoulders contact and could have been called. The thing is that the refs could not make that a non call and then turn around and call the foul on Michigan at the end. At the end of the day, they let the players decide the game. We did not execute. Can't blame the refs for this one.
Well ok you can let the players decide so I guess I could just tackle the opposing team. We win cuz they DIDNT SCORE!!!..... Dumbest thing i've ever heard... We got hosed on a lot of ball out of bounds also. I'll even admit that the ball was out on Craft on the last part of the game. It went off his thigh. So if you want a game called fairly but in reverse you can go ahead. I'd rather have it called correctly.
We 2 opportunities to win it in the last 20 seconds and couldn't convert. What more could you ask for? As much as I love Craft he should've called time out. I would've set up a play for either Ross or Thomas to take a game winning 3 hoping Michigan is thinking we were going for 2 and another OT.
As painful as it was to get to sleep it sure was a fun game to watch.
We had a couple of opportunities in the end to score and couldn't. Also, our first 4 possesions in OT we were 0-2 from the field with 2 turnovers. Missed chances? Yes.
Your post is ridiculous. Fans that whine about officiating shouldn't bother to watch sports.
Ohio State lost because:
1. The leading scorer in the B1G did not take 1 shot in OT.
2. The best shooter(Ross) sat on the bench the first 3 minutes of OT.
3. They turned the ball over in OT the first 2 possessions trying to pass the ball to a gassed Amir Williams.
4. Craft tried to win the game himself and failed to make good decisions.
Sure there was contact on Craft's drive but to put yourself in that position was not smart.
It was not a lock that Craft would make both foul shots either.
The SMART play would have to penetrate and kick it out to DT, Ross or Smith to win the game with a three.

Nah. Craft also was gifted a free three pointer when the play clock expired earlier in the game. Thompson was called for a bad goaltending. Craft should've been called for a flagrant-1. The refs called a poorly officiated game both ways, but this was Big Ten basketball at it's finest. Hard fought, very physical, very fun to watch.
5.) I wanted to puke every time they showed Denards mug in the stands!
Frankly, 4 times out of 5 a ref isn't going to make that call at the end of a game. As others pointed out, they could have called a flagrant on Craft. I would much rather both of those be no calls than a ticky-tacky flagrant foul. We got some other breaks--the 3 pointer that looked like the shot clock was expired, a clear goaltend by Ravenel, etc. It sucks losing, but even in losing I thought OSU looked like a team that could make the Final Four. If Williams and Ross continue improving, this team could be very dangerous.
My complaints aren't even about the last play of the game. How many times can you miss an out of bounds call or watch hardaway push off to get an open three?
Amen! Good post, but now you are going to get it--probably!
Ah snap yes of course you're right. Of course YOU of all people should be the judge of who should and should not watch sports. I've seen your posts and it's nothing but negative things to say about this team. If anyone shouldn't watch sports it should be people like you. I understand that Scum was the #1 reason why we lost, it's not like the game was tOSU vs refs. I get it. But to say we didn't get hosed down the stretch is just dumb. We deserved to win that game.
I've come to learn that there are fans of players and fans of the team..And a lot of the Player type fans cant handle when their fav. player gets Deserved heat for questionable plays..The Ref's were bad for both teams because if O-State had won Im 100% postive they(TSUN) would have been upset over the non flagrant call on Craft and a couple other calls..Thanx Reality Ron for giving out some reality, not butthurt whining about the big 10 refs shooting their regular
