If you have watched John Beilein coached teams in the past they are ball control back cut Princeton style teams. This team is IMHO too talented to run his schemes. They free lance and go 1 on 1 too much. In close games he looks like a fish out of water.
While I think they are prob a sweet 16 team on talent alone, they are losing games and allowing teams to play with them that have no business being in the same gym talent wise.
Much like Brady Hoke he is a 2nd rate type coach. Not even close to an elite level coach.
you are nuts. he has had great success wherever he has been.
Agreed. Some on here are nuts.
Great success? Final4's are great success not 2nd round losses, he is a little above average coach who' s teams tend to tail off at the end of the season. When someone posts about people who are nutz they should make sure they have at least a little basketball knowledge! Lol
west virginia 104-60
yeah,i can't believe he didn't get to the final four at richmond and canisius.
so only final four coaches are great????
what about what you do with what you have??? there are plenty of coaches who have done less with a lot more talent than he has had.
That is a .613 winning percentage like I said a little above average, you answered your own question.
When your at WVU and Michigan you play enough powder puffs to keep the percentage up above average. Look at his record against ranked teams it's not good.
you may be right. check back in march and we will see.
How'd they do against Wisconsin?
He is a good coach of average talent when in his system he controls the game and pace, this Michigan team looks like an all star team they free lance the whole game. No coaching!
After you go through the league once people learn how to beat you, now everyone knows put huge pressure on Burke and he plays little heads up defense and relies too much on his talent. He will take long 3's and other bad shots. I don't care if you have Micheal Jordan you can't shoot 7 for 24 and win especially if your the point guard!! He is a selfish player in crunch time the reason most big programs passed on him,he was a show boat in high school, and he still is!
Great Talent and individual player, not a team player in crucial times!
