I'm fired up. Playing in Dayton out of the gate is a nice reward for winning the BIG tourney. The West Region is one of the weakest two in my opinion. The only downside I see for us is the potential of having to play Wisconsin again to make it to the Final Four. I'm more worried about playing them than any other potential opponents in the region, including Gonzaga, K-St, or New Mexico. I don't particularly like seeing Arizona either as they appear to be a potential sleeper team from a 6 seed.
love the draw......GREAT DEFENSE !!!!!no more standing around and watching ONE man run the offense.....and if you would've told me three years ago that D thomas could play POST defense the way he did today....I would've lost the BET.....
The West Region is shaping up in an interesting way.
Nothing to worry about with New Mexico or K-State as they were both over-seeded teams who were bounced by what appear to be lessor opponents. Give credit to Ole Miss knocking off Wisconsin. Gonzaga looked shaky, they are not used to being a favorite as opposed to an underdog. Ole Miss hadn't seen anything like Wisconsin all season and their ability to adapt and work through it shows they are legit. I'd love to see them down the road in the Elite 8 and give Craft a chance to D-up on Marshall Henderson. Now that would be fun and a media frenzy as Henderson is embracing the "bad boy" role.
I fell asleep and didn't see much of Iowa St. last night, but Arizona looked as good as any team in the country in their opening win over Belmont. I see them beating Harvard and and they will be a tough opponent in the Sweet 16 assuming we can get past Iowa St. tomorrow.
Bought Sweet 16/Elite 8 tix (1 ticket to all 3 games at Staples Center) while living in CA & moved back to Ohio & can't get back for the games. Want to sell them to a Buckeye fan if possible. They're section 306, row 6. Please email email@example.com if you're interested. Thanks...Go Bucks!!
Arizona will be our biggest hurdle! Miller knows how Matta coaches and they are a good ball team!
I watched them last night crush Harvard. They continue to impress. If we can get by Iowa St. today, it will take stellar defensive play on the perimeter (Craft, Scott and Smith Jr.) to get by Arizona.
Arizona has beaten Harvard and Belmont and Matta knows Miller too
