I gave you an up vote, the truth always hurts. I think Sully stays another season, he needs to get off the Troy Smith diet he on right now, he looks fatter and slower each game.

Leaving to play in the NBA and playing in the NBA are two different things. Buford seems at best suited to perhaps play in Europe. He is not the player that Diebler was and Diebler did not make it into the NBA. Sully, if he leaves (and he shouldn't due to the vast amount of work he has to put in yet to be ready) will be drafted. Thomas could fill short stints of offense to lift his NBA game but his ability to put the ball on the floor will limited his minutes. However I definitely feel you are correct that between now and next year we have to find some outside shooting somewhere.
If no one transfers, and DT and Sully leave, I think next years team will be very fun to watch.
PF- Weatherspoon or Ross
Sf- Ross or Thompson
Sg- Thompson, or Craft
PG- Craft or Scott
Bench- Ravenol, Sibert, Smith, McDonald.
Sportscenter highlight every game. Of course we loose some, but those guys could still win 20. They would probably play better team ball too. And know their roles.
Sullinger needs to get back to his old playing weight. Sullinger's booty knocked guys out of position. Now he is just like everyone else. He needs another year to develop his body, get more flexibility. Develop a consistent mid range jump shot. Older brothers and Satch need to beat the tar around him under the rim to get tougher mentally and physically. Pilates and Yoga would be good for Sully. Some weights to develop his legs and upper body.
If Kevin Love has a basketball camp, Sully needs to be in it in the summertime. Big man camp for Sullinger and Williams is a must.
Thomas needs to stay another year as well.
If Sully leaves then I hope they land Tony Parker. Please don't leave Sully! You are not ready for the pro game!
He is as ready as he is going to be. He is what he is. When he came back this year, his NBA stock dropped from around around top 4 to 6-10 on most mock drafts. If he comes back, his game will not change drastically. He will drop farther. He has a jumper already and an inside game already. He will not come back and all of a sudden become athletic.
He is what he is and he should go now while he can. Same for Thomas. If he sends out feelers and he is looking at the first round, he should go too. He also is what he is. Instant offense. In the NBA guys like him are coveted. Defense? Who plays defense in the NBA? Maybe 15 guys total are known as strong defensive players, out of around 400.
Jon Diebler was taken in the 51st pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He signed a contract over in Greece due to the lockout and has no NBA-opt out if the lockout ended. The book is not closed on this one yet kind sir.
And I guess for everyone else do you really think DT will play more than Sully in the NBA??
If Sulinger left last year he was a top 3 pick, if he leaves this year he's still probably a top 10, if you were Sulinger would you really come back? Without an outside threat teams will continue to double and triple team sullinger putting his numbers down. i don't think i'd come back if it was me.
Im family friends with former osu star and curent lakers assistant jim cleamons who is responsible for their scouting and dt is not even on their radar or any mock draft on the internet.not one!
I see a NIT team, it will be a tough year. IMHO
my reading of your assessment ending abruptly after seeing that "Buford not the player Deibler was"
you sir = moron
Thad has won 20+ his first 11 seasons as a coach. Him and Mark Few are the only coaches to do that in the history of college basketball.
I trust Thad will figure it out.
thad will figure out how to chew his gum in the oftseasn
If Sullinger and Thomas go I predict laquinton Ross will average 20 ppg. Book it and remember I told u so.
Weatherspoon will never start a game at OSU unless there is a rash of injuries and/or suspensions. I know the plan at guard next year right now is for Craft to run point and Scott to run the 2 guard kinda like Conley and Butler in 06-07. Scott needs to really improve his shot.
We are coming for you Bama!
I have always felt Sully should stay one more year.....for his development because he is clearly not ready. Deep down I think he really WANTS to stay because he enjoys college, being close to home, etc. but who knows. I am sure he will get plenty of opinions from "experts" on what to do. At the end of the day Thatch will set him stratight....
DT would be an idiot to leave.....thinking from his perspective with Buford leaving HE will be THE MAN next year from a scoring perspective and I think we will revel in that PLUS he neesd some SERIOUS work on the defensive side of the ball.
However, if they both leave this team will be tough to watch (not fun to watch as someone else stated). Who is going to score? We will have DT.....then what? ALl unproven other than Craft has the ability to be more of a scorer. Scott can't hit shit....Sam Thompson is not a scorer.....Ross IS but it all depends on how he develops between now and next year.....Amir? He needs a shit ton of work......
If those two leave i think this team is mid pack of the B1G next year......
More rebounds, more points, and more assists, seems like he was a better overall player than Diebler. Diebler was a GREAT 3pt shooter and a underrated passer and probably a better leader. Buford has proven that he can do it all at the collegiate level, Diebler never showed that.

On some real...I'm the only one who has the balls to say this. If Sulli leaves, he's a pussy. He dosn't want to ruin his draft stock so he is leaving for the money
