Matta is beginning to remind me of John Cooper: Great recruiter, average coach. His short bench continuously hurts the Buckeyes in close games. He has talent on the bench but refuses to use it; meanwhile, his starters play 30+ minutes and it shows by the end of the game when they aren't fighting through screens or closely contesting jumpers. No wonder it seems he has 2-3 transfers every season.

Craft and Buford always play like shit down the stretch in crunch time

I've said all of those exact same words. A team that can shoot or that's physical/athletic is this team's kryptonite. This team has to almost be flawless to win a national championship and i don't have faith in Craft and Buford at the end of games because of continuous bad decisions

The only good thing about Indiana and Illi losses is that they have to come to Columbus to get the whooping they deserve like Wiscy last year. Both teams acted cocky and will see what happens when they come to Columbus.

It was one of those games... But when craft comes down with like 20 seconds left and just loses the ball, that's unacceptable.

You up 5 at the half and your score the first 6 points out of the halftime break and now your up 11. Should have been ballgame right there. But you let a team back in the game and this is what happens. Once again you have to wonder and question whether Matta can make the correct calls as a coach down the stretch of games. Sullinger in close games MUST TOUCH THE BALL EVERY POSSESSION. If guys are not willing to throw the ball into him in tight games they need to be sitting next Matta and not be on the floor. I've been a big fan of Buford's game over the years but have questioned his mental toughness at times. It's apparent that he just is not mentally up to leading the team as a Senior. Have you ever seen a player take the ball to the basket and try to AVOID CONTACT? It's mind blowing....take the contact and draw the foul. He contorts his body in all manner to avoid contact....I go crazy when he does this. I almost wonder if he wouldn't be better coming off the bench as a 6th man. That's another debate however. I realize Paul was unconscience but this was a game I had as a win....a very winnable game. In addition to Will I believe the team is also not as mentally tough as they need to be. I thought the UK loss would have shown the program that it's about toughness and decision making at the end of the games. We're not tough and our decision making is bad. Craft again turns it over at the end similar to the Indiana game. Disappointing loss. I believe it's legitimate to wonder if Matta can get over the hump eventually and the comparison of him and Cooper does look similar. In close games he must demand that the ball go into Sully on every possession and hold the players accountable if that can't make that happen.
