Trey Burke returning

  • Michigan will definitely have a good team next year with Mitch McGary coming in. They might be the favorite to win the conference.

  • Ohio State and Ohio University pretty much set the blueprint on how to minimize Burke on the court. The other Big Ten coaches are going to watch the tape and pretty much make Burke is a nonfactor next season. One thing about Big Ten coaches, they know how to scout players weaknesses on the court. Michigan loses Novak and Douglass, their two glue guys and it is a big loss to replace a glue guy just from a leadership standpoint.
Michigan State, Indiana and Ohio State are the favorites for next season in the Big Ten.

  • Craft cancels out Burke.
Thomas cancels out McGary or at least minimizes him.
If Ross stays who guards him.

    Aree.
Burke has peaked, not much he can improve, and he is not going to get taller or faster.
The book on him late was shutting him down.
Michigan is still full of a lot of unathletic stiffs. McGary is highly rated, reminds me of Paul Davis of MSU or the Plumlee's, a kid that will struggle against athletic bigs.
Hardaway is up and down like a yo yo and got worse this year.
Bench took a big hit, and Glenn Robinson Jr. best offers were from Indiana State, Valpo and Illinois State, spare me Robinson is a game changer, no midwest good teams wanted him.
Another Bielien double digit loss special by seasons end.

  • I hope Ross and Weatherspoon are both a big part of this team next year. A lot of talent just sitting. This team is loaded.

  • I think it really hinges on McGary. I don't really follow HS recruiting too much, but Scum needs a big man and he could really help that team. Morgan wasn't terrible, but he is undersized. They will miss Novak, Douglass and Smoctycz (sp?) more than many think as I have seen them predicted as a top-5 team. I think Burke could definitely improve his shooting, Hardaway too. I see them in the 8-15 range next year, but that might only be good enough for 4th in the conference. B1G is loaded next year, a lot of good freshman coming in and a lot of talent returning.

McGary reminds me a lot of Zeller from Indiana. Tall, athletic, and an excellent post player. Indiana had an awful team last year, and Zeller was really their only addition. He helped that team become an upper-tier Big Ten team. I definitely think we can match up with Michigan, but their biggest weakness this year was a lack of a good post player, and McGary definitely fixes that problem.

  • I think the bigger question is "Will Ted Valentine be back to help all of OSU's opponents win their home games against the Buckeyes?" What Trey Burke does is largely irrelevant. Craft will handle him.
