you really hit home... I only have 16 posts. Because I don't sit on here all day and make comments. Well I guess my membership of 11months compared to your 4 months make me better than your 192 posts(yes this is sarcasm).
I only stated my opinion this time because of how ridiculous this thread was. I usually keep my opinion to myself.
I am sure you have more Facebook friends than me too. +1 for you

I think what JN is saying is Thad has been winning Big 10 titles but has not done very well in the NCAA Tournament. Think about some of those loses. Sienna, really, Tennessee, just hoping Evan Turner would win it, Georgetown, really, we were Big 10 champs that year, Kentucky last year, we were cleary the best team in it, thanks Gene Smith for that draw. Cooper won some big games but not many Bowls!!!

Someone gets it. With the resources Matta has at his disposal, it seems to me that he has underachieved. Something tells me that if Gee/Smith were interviewing a replacement b-ball coach, they would not stop at "what are your plans to win the Big Ten regularly." I imagine Gee/Smith are interested in national championship-caliber coaches and they spend the money to get them. Matta has only made one Final Four in 7 or 8 seasons at Ohio State, and that came with arguably the best recruiting class ever.
Funny that the posters here are such sheep. Apparently, questioning Matta's coaching ability puts a target on the poster. Get real sheeple. Not long ago Tressel was held up as infallible, until he messed up and was replaced by a man who just two short years ago drew the scorn of Buckeye nation. Now Urban Meyer is its new hero who can do no wrong. Woe to the man bold enough to second-guess Meyer's decisions and/or tactics. SMH...

Some people are ignorant that think we need a different coach. 1. you can't win ever game no matter who you are(example: john wooden) 2. A "bad night" for a couple players in Basketball can have a huge difference with fewer players to impact a game (comparison to football or baseball) 3. Go play basketball even a rec game with same ten guys and see if it goes exactly how you expect it
sometimes I wonder how many people played sports and sucked at it, but convinced themselves they were good and knew what they were doing.

If you think things are tough now----take a look at next year's squad minus Buford and Sullinger, huge struggle to get the ball in the hole, yes we have guys on the bench but it is just that on the bench with minimal playing time/experience and that folks is on the shoulders of the coach

thad matta is like john cooper a good recruiter but a bad coach
