That is exactly the point, Kentucky just lost to Vanderbilt and you do not see their fans screaming for Calipari's head. Look, getting to the national championship in basketball is tough and there are alot of good teams like Murray State that pose threats that they do not pose in football. Also, I have played 5 on 5 basketball in a rec game, taken some good shots, only to see the ball go in and out of the rim. How many of Sullingers shots did we see fall off the front of the rim, back of the rim, side of the rim and everywhere in between. But, I do think that we need the smaller lineup of Williams, Ross, Sibert, Craft, and Thompson.

Next season will be a whole different dynamic. I have no worries with Buford or Sully moving on. The players everyone is clamoring for to get minutes will have their opportunity to do so. It's the nature of the beast. Losing Diebds, Lighty and Dallas didn't stop us from being a top 10 team all season.

We are top 10 because our best player is back along with an experienced wing player. That is not coming back next year. The problem with the bench players is due to coaching they have almost no experience. Thomas and Craft had much more experience than any guy currently sitting on the bench. Worried should be what all of Buckeye bball fans need to be

Matta's recruiting is actually overrated IMO. Don't get me wrong, he is a good recruiter, best in the B1G, but OSU is clearly behind in talent when compared to the KY, Kansas, UNC, Dukes. Kansas looked much more athletic than us, and we don't even come close to KY. He has had some highly ranked recruiting classes, but that is partly because he takes 5 or 6 guys in a single class, which bumps their rating. When you look at average stars per recruit, he is still very good, but nowhere near the top. I am somewhat worried too with all of the coaching and recruiting talent in the neighboring states. Look how many players in the Final Four come from B1G country. Calipari is going to be hard to beat for a lot of Midwest guys, Crean is up and coming, Groce will be no slouch at Illinois, Michigan is doing better, Izzo is still solid, etc.
Which brings me to, I think Matta is underrated as a coach. He has won with 5 star guys, but also with a bunch of 3 and 4 star guys. I think when you look at how some OSU guys have done in the NBA, maybe the talent level isn't as high as many OSU fans would like to think. This team has 1-3 guys that will be drafted, but do you see anyone that will be a star in the NBA? I don't. Hell, Kentucky could have five guys go in the first round.
