Check out where much of Obama's campaign donations came from and then come back and tell me who is "still owned by Wall Street and Big Business". You are nothing more than a mouthpiece for the left with no original thought nor genuine understanding of issues affecting our economy. Keep collecting your retirement check from your government pension thinking that somehow you got a raw deal and that private enterprise would have been so much better. I can tell you right now that your "talents" wouldn't even have qualified you for mid-management.

Hey, if Liberals are allowed to manufacture the "war on women" then us "repugs" can manufacture a "war on moms". Both "wars" are completely made up and full of shit.

Though often asked, God does not take sides in politics or college football.

There is nothing manufactured about the GOP wanting to take choice from women, wanting to prevent the poor from having preventative medical services, perhaps banning the most used forms of contraceptives by women, and giving the employer the right to determine what health care services they will make available to women. Many of these policies have appeared in the Red states by repub Governors and legislative bodies, though curiously not one of these politicians ran on any of these things.
Just so I am clear, I do not believe that the GOP has declared war on women. It is a dem political strategy to name it that. However, the GOP's swing farther right and bowing more to the religious right has resulted in the GOP backing many policies that are against many of the choices women have had for years.
Remember that the SC let stand rulings which said that denying women insurance coverage for women's specific medical services and products like birth control pills was sexual discrimination on the part of employers and insurance companies. There is no similar healthcare issue for men in which government at all levels, insurance companies, and employers have tried to interfere with. Why? Because our political and legal power structures have always be dominated by men. If suddenly there was a religious movement to ban the viagra type products because" if God wanted you to have intercourse you would not be impotent, plus as several of the GOP candidates made clear - the Bible says that sexual intercourse should be for procreation only, so older males, whose wives are now infertile following menopause should not be having intercourse anyway" what would happen? Nothing because men, who are in positions of power would kill it.
Bottom line is the recent GOP political stands on women's issues are the result of the rightwing base rise in power, not because of a war on women. Of course if you blow-up my house but say it was for partisan reasons and you were not really declaring war on me, I'm sure I would not care WHY, but I would retaliate as if you had declared war on me.
If Romney and the GOP persist in cutting women's programs/services/rights and continue their attacks on all aspects of their reproductive lives, Obama may not be as beatable as I have agreed with you cons about.

Willard Romney's wife must be Super Mom. After all, she raised 5 boys all by herself while her husband was out buying up companies, firing their workers and then selling the company off for profit. Meanwhile Little Ann was home with 5 monstrous boys. I wonder if she did her own grocery shopping? How about worrying about the gas bill in winter? How about doctor's bills? Do you think she had to worry about everyday things most mericans worry about? I don't think so. I've heard the Mitten dotes on her, will do anything for her, and forbids the kids to talk back to her. if that is so, why no maids, or nannies to help his wife? Doesn't really make sence.
Now before your moron Cons start blaming me for being anti-women you best get out there and read the Romney story. Not all roses and alot of holes in it. And lease don't call me a women hater, I believe a women should have a choice, should have equal pay and be treated as equals in everything they do. I am sure Cons out there believe in the same thing, too.sarasotabcg

Romney himself started this whole flap about his wife when he brought her into the campaign by saying "When I want to know what is important to women (assuming middle class women), I ask my wife." Really? She has personal knowledge and understanding of the problems facing working-class mothers, single mothers, factory workers, poor mothers, college women trying to afford tuition, etc. etc.? By involving his wife she came under scrutiny that may have been a little unfair, but he invited it. If he truly wants to know how women feel he should ask some. After all, he should know how his wife feels by now. Unless he doesn't. On several occasions she has said "maybe I should do the talking." Michelle Obama has been a target for vicious attacks from the right since Barack became a national figure - and Hiliary Clinton long before that.

The same criticism "has" been leveled at Michelle Obama, and much more. It's just that we do not indulge in fake outrage over it. Ann Romney herself said it was a gift. And judging by the response from the right it was. Righties are quick to pounce on any little tid-bit, no matter how trivial. It's like grasping at straws as you're sinking in quicksand. BTW, I may be wrong, but didn't Obama just claim around a quarter of a million income last year? He undoubtedly has more wealth, but that hardly qualifies as privileged. What you righties don't understand is we don't begrudge anyone their millions, regardless of how they got them, we just don't like the way the Republican Congress bends over backwards to see they get even more at the expense of everyone else, including you. We just can't understand why Republicans have turned their backs on the middle class when their support is needed the most.

This election started on Obama's inauguration day when Republicans made a pact to defeat him in 2012 before he had introduced one thing. Obama's only problem is that he was naive about trusting Republicans to negotiate on anything. Obama could not deliver on his promise to change the culture in Washington because not one lock-step Republican wanted it changed. They are still owned by Wall Street, Big Oil, and Big Business.
This narrative by Democrats will not change because it is the truth

.... This is one of the most ignorant posts I have read.
What exactly has the far left done for the middle class? The middle class is bad for them. A class of free-thinking, self-sustained people not dependent on the government for everything is not good for the new brand of Dems. These Dems hate the middle class.
The only middle class that they care about are government workers and union members who lace up the jack boots and goose step to the voting stations every election...usually several times.
Look at who the truly wealthy people are and then look into their political affilitation. I think that you would stop posting.

Republican senators used the filibuster during Obama's first two years more than any other Senate in history. That's why nothing got done. Some Republicans only broke ranks to vote for a health bill that was extremely watered down and something they could campaign against. That old song-and-dance won't work. If Republicans regain the Senate they will immediately push for a simple majority, or at least require someone to actually speak during a filibuster. It would serve them right if Senate Democrats used filibuster after filibuster. However, I doubt many Democrats would hold out against their constituents' best interests as Republicans did (and are still doing). In truth, I would not want the Democrats to be petty and vindictive enough to bring Washington to its knees as has been done during the past three years. I'm sure most Democrats would agree.
How ironic that things would get done under a Republican majority. Why? Because Democrats would actually vote for things that help the country. Why? Because they're not Republicans.

I know Obama and much of the Democratic Congress takes money also. They would be stupid not to since they probably don't feel like ceding an even greater advantage to the right. Let's all pledge to forego big money from any source and see who would be willing. We all know what party that would be. Where did I mention that I got a raw deal? I was pretty much saying I would have been willing to give up that "refund" and the subsequent tax breaks for a balanced and thriving economy and a solvent SS and Medicare. I am happy with my life. I have an apartment building that nets $2,800 a month from college students, a year-round condo two blocks from a casino in Henderson, NV, a 100% retirement income, 70 years old and look 50, running a 5k tomorrow morning, preparing for the Columbus Marathon this fall, may open a bar in my 1830 building, writing 5 screenplays and a book, never had a broken bone, in perfect health, and never have a down day. I think I could have qualified for any management position in your little world. However, that seems awfully dull to me.
The mouthpieces exist on the right, where it is devoid of independent thought and everyone is just waiting for the next talking point of the week.

ANN ROMNEY: SUPER MOM
