Sometimes I post because many people on here often have absolutely no clue what they're talking about and another perspective needs expressed. Sometimes people are just wrong. And I don't find much meaning in writing posts to express my concurring opinion with others. That person has already said what needs to be said. That is what the upvote is for. ...
One can't have a meaningful opinion unless they are willing to try and understand every perspective as openly as possible, under the Veil of Ignorance if you will. I consider everything. You don't know the bulk of my beliefs or how they came to be. You don't know my background. My political views are issue by issue and candidate by candidate. Might be hard for you to believe but we all can't be labeled as liberals or conservatives or socialists or capitalists or communists or rich or poor. Sometimes we are many things depending on the issue.

The false equivalency of owning a gun and having had an abortion is red meat to the wacko right and that is how she makes her living. Who do you think commits more murders and is a bigger possible danger to you and your family, someone in the neighborhood who has had an abortion or someone who owns dozens of guns?
I worked with a family whose teenage son had become depressed over a girl friend who broke up with him at his birthday party. He went into his parents bedroom got his dad's handgun and returned to his party of 15 or so teenagers and killed himself in front of them- he also wounded two of his best friends as they jumped him trying to stop him.
I worked with a senior in HS who had lost interest in school (duh) because his mom was in jail for shooting and killing her husband, the boy's husband in front of all the neighbors. At a block party another man got in a fight with his wife and said he knew the boy's father had been screwing her. Upon hearing this his mom ran into their house and returned with one of their 15 guns and shot her husband 6 times at point blank range.
In both cases the people had the guns legally and the latter family went shooting almost weekly. In addition to the horrible deaths, in one case 15 teenagers were put at risk and in the other over 60 neighbors were at risk.
Never ever heard of people dying because some woman in their neighborhood had had an abortion.
