How funny is it that they went and got armed guards after trying to put lawful gun owners in danger, therefore having their addresses published in return? Their act was irresponsible and hateful. For you to believe otherwise is to have your head in the clouds. I am not arguing the legality of it, but it was a spiteful ignorant thing to do.

Publishing the names/addresses of all registered gun owners is not the same as putting a tangible sign in the front yard of gun owners saying "There are guns here."
Likewise, publishing the names/addresses of non-gun owners is not the same thing as putting a tangible sign in the front yard of non-gun owners saying "There are no guns here."
This is a false equivalence, and someone who supports some form of gun laws or publishing the names of registered owners is not a hypocrite for not wanting to put a sign in their front yard. It's a funny video but let's be real. This is a whole bunch of nothing.
Where I grew up near Cleveland every new home purchase was published with the name and address of the buyer. Public records are public records. Publishing public records is as American as it gets. If someone buys or registers a gun, and it's public record, legal to publish, and may be of interest to people in the neighborhood, then the publisher should feel free to publish the information if he so chooses.
I thought this was America?

You know, not only is the Second Amendment now being violated, but the First Amendment is being carved up too. First religion got banned, then speech got limited, and now the press is being restricted. The New Your Law that was just passed is barring the press from releasing the names of people who get gun permits. If you remember correctly, I was ok with the publishing of the names. Now the government is telling the press that they can't release public records.
Again, I will await for some libs to tell me that I am paranoid about our Rights.

Cars require government registration. A fishing license requires government registration. So does a hunting license. When will the NY Times be publishing those lists? Give up man. You're grasping at straws right now. Unfortunately, your endless splitting of hairs can't defeat common sense.
