We live in a society where more/bigger is better...More money, bigger house, nice car, etc..and yet a lot of those people don't have a deep joy in their hearts. Then you have people struggling with money, don't have the nicest things, but they seem to be some of the happiest and loving people..

This is something I struggle with sometimes. Always wanting more to give me "temporary happiness" Something I really want to do is give to others more, to help fulfill Deep joy in my heart all the time.

I love the idea of this thread. Great job BB. I am a Christian and believe in Jesus. I hope everyone finds encouragement & the Truth from this thread

We all struggle with that I think.The Lord is our provider in all things good.There is nothing better than seeing the light of the Lord in peoples eyes and it has nothing to do with intelligence or riches or "things".
It is great to see the joy of giving from these stories on mission trips. I used to think the verse "it is more blessed to give than to receive"
was just one of those things you had to pretend you understood and practiced but that it wasn't really true.
But I have searched and found I have cheated myself of great joy. I cannot remember many things I have received in my lifetime but I vividly remember what I have given to others.
It is the happiness you feel when you have done something good and enduring for others.It defines who you are and what value you perceive in yourself. By giving to others,you infinitely strengthen yourself.
I see your posts and your encouragement on this board....you get it....don't ever let the enemy steal it away.

Listen to all who don't support this board you don't have to click on it. This is not intended for arguing over religion..This board is meant for sharing things that may help others and prayer.The idea of this thread came to me from countless threads from other Bucknutters posting asking for Prayer about a situation in their life. The thinking was maybe to create a thread for all the prayers so everyone didn't have to create one.

If you are so inclined,please pray for a young missionary by the name of Josh. He is serving in Indonesia. He was shot in the head last night by a militant. Pray for his complete recovery.
